After Cave Spring,I did the only sensible thing--I bought a "69 Mustang. I took it to VA Tech for a couple years, including a job with the Navy in Norfolk. When it became apparent that higher math and physics had it in for me, I headed up to Vermont. I joined the Army Guard, became a medic, and started work as a carpenter. In 1987 I married Kim, a police officer. We moved to a small town, where I became a volunteer EMT. This lead to going back to school and becoming a Registered Nurse. I've worked in hopitals, jails and now I do Home Health nursing. We adopted Joshua in 1987 when he was 4 weeks old. He's been an amazing adventure, which continues this summer. We are taking him to Peru to help a church build an addition. It will be fun to watch him react to a new culture.

There was a group of us (and I won't name names), who had run afoul of a group of the football players (again, I won't name names). Going up against them directly was, of course, suicide. We choose botlle rockets. We snuck into the bushes at the end of the field during the homecoming game. When the timing seemed right, we launched a barrage of rockets toward the field. Whether anyone even noticed them, we don't know, we just ran!
