Moved to San Francisco after graduation and worked at a blues music agency, writing music videos. Moved to Los Angeles in 83 as freelance writer. Wrote press kits for Warner Bros., as well as screenplays State of Emergency for HBO, A Year in The Life for NBC, Married to A Stranger for ABC, Running Mates for TNT, and documentary Tapestries of Hope for Showtime. Congressman Costa asked us to screen the documentary for State Dept, Congress and Amnesty and hosted us in DC as we spoke to representatives about Zimbabwe and violence legislation. Attended the inauguration and VIP inaugural ball in 2009. Won Pen Literary Award, Cable Ace and Humanitas nominations. Am member of Writers Guild of America and Publicists Guild. Just co-wrote actor Maurice Benard's memoir Nothing General About It: How Love and Lithium Saved Me On and Off General Hospital (HarperCollins), on shelves in April 2020.
