I haven't been back to Roanoke since I went to college. I live and work in a small town. A lady that works in admissions for the hospital is from Roanoke and her children graduated from Patrick Henry(one of them in '83).Small world.Her children still live in Roanoke and she visits frequently. She keeps me up on all the growth and change.I probably couldn't find my way around. ---The county I live in has @1300 residents.We're 90 miles from Atlanta,60 miles from Augusta (home of the Masters golf tournament),50 miles from Athens (GO DOGS).I use to commute to a large level 1 trauma center to work in the ER and in Shock Trauma.After 10 years of that I took a job at a small local hosp as a nursing supervisor.I've been here for a little over 10 years. My husband is also in the medical field.We have a farm and raise Quarter horses.We go to horse shows all over the southeast and ride at various places. We have 4 great children that I thankfully had when I was younger.My oldest son is a paramedic and married.The other three are in college.We enjoy traveling however have never been out of the US.My children all went to Europe while in school but my husband and I have yet to venture there.Maybe when I get them out of college.
