Michael Todd Fisher, 43, of Roanoke, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday December 20. 2012.

He was born in Washington DC, April 12, 1969, to Joyce Fisher of Roanoke, and the late David L. Fisher.
Michael was an outstanding athlete at Northside High School, graduating in 1987, he then continued his education at Virginia Western, earning two degrees. He served as a signalman in the US Navy.
Michael followed his father’s footsteps making a career in the trucking industry. He also worked as a personal fitness trainer at Elite Fitness.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his children; Catherine Paige Fisher and Thomas King Fisher, sisters; Kristin Rush and her husband, Ken, of Roanoke, Patricia R. Blackstock and her husband Jeremy, of Charleston SC, seven nieces; Kendra, Skylar, Ericka, Alexandra, Langdon, Ava and Julie “JuJu”, the mother of his children, Christa Fisher, and special lady, Robbi, numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Oakey’s North Chapel, the Rev. Michael DuVal will officiate and entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers be make donations to a special fund set up for his children c/o Joyce Fisher, 6653 Bryant Cir., Roanoke VA 24019.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10 – 11:30 at Oakey’s North Chapel, www.oakeys.com.
