Hey guys! Working hard at work to get things done...like Turbo!! So i can meet you all for lunch. Should be a blast, especially with Stef there, love that imagination girl. So do you have swings in the house to go along with the poles?
Faye - can we meet on Sunday? Friday night and Saturday are pretty busy for me. I will try and locate those books and bring a catalogue along with me for you. You are just too cute with you sweet self. It is hard to believe someone our age can be sooo ummm....darn sweet. View the history girl and watch out for the pop ups!!

Yeah right I think she is too smart for that, I have already had my political debate this AM so on another subject................

for all you parents who had some grade issues this week, I have done some research and I am not sure how many of you are aware but each child is graded at their level so if for example there is a student who is weak in math well they may have a math teacher work with that student and that student could make an A because they have reached that level vs a student who is on another level who may make a B or C so when you meet with the teachers, might I suggest asking at what level they are grading. I am not sure it is the most fair of systems if the parents are not made aware of the levels because for a kid all they hear is they made an A,B,C,D,F they don't hear the you made a C but your in advanced classes so you are at a 10th grade level for being in the 8th grade that would be different than if you are in the 8th grade and making a A at a 6th grade level so hopefully this will help those parents who may have some difficulty (yes I am talking about myself okay)

Good to see everyone at lunch...it's so much fun to get together and laugh over memories from back when...

Some hot topics involved getting the hell out of town and going somewhere warm...soon! As well as getting a group together and going skiing one weekend. I'm all for sitting around a ski lodge fire in my warm comfy clothes talking about Stef anyday...

Anders is going to participate on this forum one day...he promised. And Jason Loving, Kristin Fisher said she saw you...peck out some words my friend! We won't bite...well, I can't speak for everyone.

Faye --- I got a call a few minutes ago from the Obama campaign. I gave them your number since I know that you are a big supporter of his. JUST KIDDING! But, really, I did get a call from his campaign office. :)

Jolee -- so, did you do any pole dancing today? We haven't heard from Greg and Stef, so I figured that they are still shooting their new movie. She will do anything for attention. :) :) :)

Vicky --- how is John doing? I hope that he is doing much better.

Kelly --- we haven't heard from you lately. I hope that you are recovering from your illness.

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all of the October babies. Sometimes I get on here and forget to say Happy Birthday, so I am doing a call out to all birthday boys and girls!

Kristen WB~ No time for pole dancing today...but Lugar the Cougar has a show tonight there...come one, come all. She's going to try and wrap up her shift at the "Leven" early, mop the floors, stock the cooler, wash her smock for the next day, and buzz on over to do her show. I do hope she takes time to shave her legs...I noticed they were a little wooly today...

Hey everyone,

Kristen WB..I know I would be happy moving back home. It's just so lonely out here. Don't get me wrong, I have wonderful friends and my dog is great company but it's not the same anymore. I use to love coming home then couldn't wait to get back but this time, I did NOT want to leave. If I had a family or even a husband, it might be different but I don't. Holidays get very lonely.

Faye..I have never heard of that grading system. I can tell you that I grade my students consistently. In my Pre-Ap or GT classes, I have higher expectations for them than the regular class but that grading system is new to me. Now if they are special education, that's different but other than that...just not something I have heard of or done.

I can tell all of you political gurus...that when living in AZ I loved McCain as a senator. I think Palin is ok..but she lacks experience. I am not so sure I totally believe that Obama has terriost ties but then again, how many politicans tell the truth? I loved George W. Bush when he was Governor of Texas but I guess presidency is very different. The sad part, our children and their children and so on will have to suffer for what a few people and their decisions have done to this country. I am not republican nor do I consider myself a democrat. What I think and it's only my opinion...our country needs someone to grow balls and say NO. No to all these people coming into our country. NO to all these Americans living off of welfare while we bust our butts working to make ends meet. NO to all these ridiculous laws. Anyway, I am voting next week in the early voting because my high school is one of the early voting sites and they are opening early just for staff. I have until Friday to make my decision...still UNDECIDED.

Jolee..I don't have kids, but I have 180 kids on my class roster 8 hours a day. Think Kenzie is very normal! :) Hang in there I know you are doing a great job!

Loved the pics of the lunch bunch...I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo jealous...but hopefully it will work out and my dog, Nikki and I will be heading north for Christmas. She's my copilot on the road! She stayed with my friends that have 2 dogs...she was mad at me because I took her away from her friends and because I left her. The dog wouldn't look at me the first 2 days I was back..worse than a kid!

ok..going to watch ER that I recorded last night. Some Friday night life! Some of our football games are on Saturday nights because there are too many high schools to have them all on Friday nights...but tomorrow...taking my God daughter to see High School Musical 3...

Stef...My God daughter Holly, says that Zac Efron is much better looking than Rick Springfield..she's 10 what does she know? :)

just got back from decorating for Maggie's school Fall Festival, if anyone is by GE (East Salem)tomorrow from 10-2 come on out its open to the public and we have the best Haunted house I have seen in a long time......we are looking to make some good money to get all those smartboards for our classes so come with the wallets full......you won't be sorry........

You are telling the truth sista quite honestly all the politicians have an agenda its just picking the lesser of the 2 evils and where your values fall but who know where this OBAMA person came from until 2 years ago no one heard of him it is a little scary how someone can just appear almost Godlike in such a short time..........some people like worship him...........I am still researching the grading stuff have not gotten the full story yet still in the works but any pointers will be most appreciated

You know for everyone that has teased me about Obama, I don't take it personally but I have yet to hear why anyone is supporting him...........some of those ghost readers are letting me know who they are supporting so there may be as many swinging my way as the other way.....

Susie~ We will all be waiting for you with our Northside hoodies on the day you come across the state lines! I hope it will be soon. We all have such fun memories of you. I think every gym class I had was with you. If you get the house sold and I am off from teaching, I will be glad to come help you move back home. (Don't tell anyone, but I do have a huge heart).

Lunch was fun...the good thing is, we can do it every week...anywhere...we are so lucky to have each other. People have no idea how a class our size actually loves to get together. Some of those Ghost Readers need to jump onboard or at least come to lunch.

Okay, doggie has pee'd...it is still dark...and I'm going back to bed...hugs~

Susie - Hope you make it back to Roanoke this summer for good...and if you come home for Christmas I know Kristen and I wouldn't mind it if you ventured up to our neck of the woods. I have the room.

John is doing fine, men have no pain tolerance what so ever, but each day is better. I see now why I am not in nursing...no sympathy.

Faye - Yes there would be a #1 Ranking next to my name in FFL, but I am sure Angelo will be taking that honor back soon enough..or Missy Weaver (#2 GIRLS ROCK) , but I will enjoy it for now.

Looks like you guys had a great time at Martins.

Greg - I'm venturing out to Lancaster today, I'll think of you while cruising around the outlets...next time you're going north, look me up, I mean it.

And for all the GT / BT references, come on now, I think they are both GT. Anders, you always get the shaft don't you?

Vicky~ I think there may be some information you are missing thinking Anders is being persecuted. Anders knows why we are picking on him about this...maybe he will speak up sometime and clue you in. Anders and everyone else knows I would walk across the desert to drink his bathwater...so if I am picking on him with those little horns..he knows why.

Hey out there. I need your help. I have decided to burn some music to a CD instead of going to FYE to have them do it. My question is: I have never done this before, what is a good and cheaper website to use to download specific songs that I want? Any help would be appreciated. I looked into Napster, but you have to sign up for a monthly fee of $14.95, and I already have a list of songs, and don't want to sign up for a monthly membership. Can anyone help? Plus, do you have any suggetions. I bought some DVD+R so I am not sure if I can use this to download the music on. HELP!!!!!!!!

A lot of people use limewire...which is a "sharing" site. I have had viruses three times from this site...so I am leary. I pay for my downloads at iTunes.com. They are .99 a piece. With iTunes, you set up your own library of music. Then, download to a iPod or burn from there. You should have a program on your computer to burn cd's from as well. Hope this helps.

Barry: That picture of us almost brought tears to my eyes! I miss you guys so much! And the boys...very very handsome! I can't wait til summer!

Jolee..the road trip to Roanoke would be so much fun. When I moved back to San Antonio from Phoenix, one of my best friends, Dawn (Mr Dyer's daughter) flew to Phoenix and drove back with me. We had our cowboy hats on and it was an awesome trip.

Angelo..that clip was hilarious.

I am almost positive I am coming back. In February I will contact a real estate agent about selling or renting my house. That's the only thing I have to do. So everyone pray the market does good and I will be home for good.
