Karen Leigh Barton Lilly, 41, of Salem, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at her home. Karen was preceded in death by her half brother, Adam C. Barton, and is survived by her sons, William Glenn Lilly and James Andrew Lilly; and her best friend and former husband, Glenn Lilly; her father and mother, James A. and Dianna Light Fletcher, of Roanoke; her brother, Kevin Fletcher and wife, Kristina, of Salem; her sister, Janet Johnston, of Radford; her granny, Josephine Light, of Salem; her special friend, Bert Orta, of Salem; her uncle and aunt, Barry and Julie Light, of Roanoke; two nephews; and several cousins. God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around you
and whispered, "Come to Me."
With tearful eyes we watched
as you slowly passed away.
Although we loved you dearly,
we could not make you stay.
A loving heart stopped beating.
A daughter, mother, and sister
is at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
