Okay Vikings, let's start planning a Saturday or Sunday get together....The Homeplace has been requested. Families, of course, are invited.....start shooting out some dates and then I will broadcast it. Also, Northside's Homecoming will be coming up in October and we all know we had so much fun in the parking lot tailgaiting last year that we didn't even make it into the game...so I am assuming that will be a get-together of sorts as well.

Count me in, but I can't do anything the weekend of Oct 9/10 so if that's the Homecoming game...I'm out.   Parent weekend at AppState is the 15th so I may be blowing thru Rke to go to that..but of course will build in the layover to see my peeps.

Gosh I haven't been to the Homeplace in over 22 years....that would be awesome...oh and Jolee I may be bunking at your place...

Susie,

I had the best time with you guys on the 20th.  So glad I was in town and able to celebrate it with you :)  What a hoot.

Michelle,

Thank you so much for the hospitality and letting me crash at your house over the weekend...FYI, both couches, and bed are comfy.   And I had a great time at the Deli with you guys...and finally got the bet paid off by Mr. Salzano.. LOL.. Glad you could be my lunch date on Sunday.  Have to admit, that was some excellent food.

Lugar,

Nothing beats standing on Church street getting hit on with you and Jolee...hahhaha NOW that was worth the trip.   And anytime you want to order Chocolate covered cheesecake, ask for a second fork, spoon, something....lol.   Hope to be able to hook up with you next trip south.

Trina,

Thanks for the "you can't see us" pictures.  That definately got a laugh.  And yea, we are nuts. Wouldn't want it any other way.   Looking forward to some midnight bowling.  No margaritas before hand.

Carla,

Thanks for playing photographer...could not have pulled it off without you.  So glad I got to see you this trip in.

Jolee,

No words can express the laughter we can share without saying a word.  :)  Time like this makes me wish I lived closer.

Hope everyone has a blessed holiday this year.

Vicky

More accolades for our fellow classmates! Perry Mabry and his band Polychrome have made the big time in the Roanoke and surrounding areas. The following was published in the Roanoke Times. If you haven't seen them yet, you need to check them out. Congrats Perry! This is awesome and we are so proud of you!

Hi All~

The Homeplace outing is being postponed until more people can attend who were interested in going. Just keep passing your requests for things you'd like to do, I will throw them out there and we will see what happens. Please take a minute to double check your profiles, especially email addresses to make sure you are receiving them. You can ask to be removed from the email list at any time if you do not want to receive the emails. Also, please remember this is a public site that anyone can view merely by searching. Profiles are private from the public search domain ONLY if you have checked the box on your profile setup stating you do not want the public to be able to search for you and find your profile. I encourage everyone to take a minute to verify passwords and profile settings. It may be a good time to update kids ages, add some new pictures, etc. While I don't mind letting others see the love, support, and friendships of our class (definitely worthy of jealousy!), I am very protective of our class and each classmate's privacy as well. If there are ever any changes or requests you have not only of this forum, but of myself as the Administrator, please do not hesitate asking. I am also willing to pass this green and yellow Administrator torch at any time....you all are a tough bunch to keep up with and not quite sure how I got the Administrator status when our class officers are all males! And for anyone not on facebook, the Class of '86 has invited the Class of '87 and '88 (how awesome is that) to be a part of their 25 year reunion in July of this year. Details will be forthcoming on facebook and I will relay them via this site. I think this is a no brainer....especially for the girls in our class....I am sooooo there. As always, if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or just need an ear....I'm here. ~Jolee

Hey Jolee,

Keep doing what you're doing.  The few of us left in the world who aren't on Facebook appreciate the updates and news.

I just got a message from someone thru this site from the past and it was so cool. Thank Jolee for keeping it real and keeping us together. I have formed new friendships that will be life lasting and we can never have too many friends.

Hope we can get together soon!

If anybody has a teenage kid who would want to do something monumental with their Summer (or any of my fellow RN's), Victory Junction Gang Camp (www.victoryjunction.org) is always in need of volunteers. This is a Nascar-themed camp run by the Petty family in honor of Adam Petty, who was killed at the age of 19 while qualifying. I have volunteered there several times as an RN and plan to go back again this summer. It is a life changing event. I have met Nascar drivers and their crews, NBA stars, NFL stars, even got to meet Richard Petty and have a picture taken with him, but it's the kids I remember most. Kind of makes you realize what's important in life, which more people need to do. Look up the website and if you have any questions, let me know. Can't wait to see you all soon. Take care. ~Jolee

POLYCHROME NEEDS JUST A MOMENT OF YOUR TIME

HELP! We NEED YOUR VOTE! IT WILL TAKE 10 seconds. I know we ask this occasionally, but such is life for independent bands trying to find their way to the big stage. PolyChrome's song "PULL ME UNDER" has been selected as a Top 5 Finalist for the band to open up the Blue Ridge Bike Fest at the Roanoke Civic Center April 16th.

Here is the link for the WROV contest which will give PolyChrome the opportunity to open up the Blue Ridge Bike Fest at the Roanoke Civic Center on April 16th.

The link allows you to vote for your favorite song out of FIVE to choose. It doesn't show the bands, only the song.
Our song is "PULL ME UNDER" (it's the 2nd one on the list).

The only requirements are to answer TWO questions and provide your e-mail address to the radio station. The entire process takes less time than it did to read this message. :o)

Any help you can provide in promoting this message and sending it to friends and family would be greatly appreciated.
