 That was one of the most challenging, exhilarating, petrifying things I have ever done in my life...but so glad I had my friends there with me to do it! You all continue to amaze me and if I know one thing about my life, I will never be alone...even in an empty room. You all are always there for me...LOVE YOU ALL!

Next Viking Gathering....Thursday, August 19th.  5:30pm at my house (610 Page Circle, Salem, VA).

Vicky will be in town, and Jolee will be turning 40 this week, so I thought we'd use it as an opportunity to get together! I will provide meat/buns if everyone will bring a side dish to share. I'll also have sodas/water - bring anything else you want to drink.

Kids are welcome!

Ok 88ers a classmate needs our help to find his DAD!!! John Morton's dad has been missing since 5:30 am this morning.  Keep on the look out for him between Vinton and his old home on Woodhaven.  Elmer Morton is his name.  He may have no shoes on as well. 

Vinton Police are looking for a man missing from a nursing home.

79-year-old Elmer Felix Morton was last seen by the staff of Berkshire Nursing Home at 5:15 Sunday morning.

Morton is 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, mostly balding, and has gray hair and a mustache.

He is believed to be wearing dark blue pants, a blue flannel shirt, and glasses.

Morton is said to suffer from dementia and high blood pressure.

If you see him, you're asked to call 540-562-3265.

Here's an idea for Friday night, after First Fridays...Frontiers, the Journey tribute band, is playing at Awful Arthur's- Towers. They're awesome! And it's music from back in the day! Oh, and Tommy Ogle typically surfaces sportin' a Steve Perry mullet-like wig when they play!
