Merry Christmas!

Below are the directions to my house(3 different ways).

2802 Crystal Spring Avenue (540-798-6566)

1) Frannklin Rd. to Avenham, Avenham to 28th St., take a right on 28th St., follow 28th til the end, take a right onto Crystal Spring(up the hill). Immediately after you take that right onto Crystal Spring, my house is on the left.

2) Broadway to Avenham, Avenham to 28th, take a left on 28th, follow 28th st til the end. At the end you will take a right on to Crystal Spring, my house is immediately to your left.

3) McClananhan to Crystal Spring, follow the road up the hill until you reach the 28th block. After you pass the 28th block, my house is immediately to your left.

Ok. There ya go. 3 different ways to get here. Hopefully one of the 3 will make sense.

I've talked to a lot of you that are definitely coming but haven't signed up yet. Would you mind signing up please so I know exactly how many Christmas presents to get. I appreciate it. I wouldn't want for anyone to go without.

Can't wait to see you all on Ssaturday!!!!

Merry Christmas to All!!

I don't think I will make it to the party Saturday night, I've been down for the last two days with the flu. I know you will all appreciate me keeping my germs to myself. I haven't been sick in years and it is kicking my butt! Lexi started hacking yesterday as well...lovely.

Vicky - Happy Anniversary Girl. I hope you get double the presents.

Susie - glad you made it in. Have a great time, and I will catch you on your next visit.

I will miss seeing the rest of you...Have a Blast and enjoy the holiday!! Post some pics.

Kristen Witt (Bray)

I hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas. We have already opened up presents and cleaned up. Now, it is time to lay down on the couch and be lazy all day long.

Susie --- the more that I get to spend time with you, the more that I miss you. I can't wait until we both are in Roanoke again.

Vicky --- so, when is our next play date? :) I have applied at West Chester University and waiting to hear if I have been accepted. I will let you know.

To everyone else --- I hope that you have a safe trip wherever you are going.

Mike Goode --- I miss you!!!!

Had to take a minute to share this... went to Matt's sister's home last night and his cousin's son showed up with a new girlfriend. He introduced me like this...Carla...Beca...Beca...Carla. So later I heard her say she went to NHS...said she had an older sister too...I asked her last name and she said "Strutt"! I almost fell in the floor! I said "You are Rebecca!" Michelle's sister is cute as can be and sweet too...just like Michelle! Funny thing is Nick (her date) LOVES baseball! I told him my vote was in for this one and that she had baseball in her blood! I told her I remembered her crying at her Dad's funeral...she was only 18 months old! Guess that was 21 years ago. I always think about them on Christmas...and had been thinking of them on the way to Matt's sister's...small world!
Merry Christmas everyone!

Hi fellow Vikings~

Hope you all had a great Christmas. What a blur it was. I am soooo ready to go hang out at Lugar the Cougars and see my homies! I thought a lot about Mike Goode yesterday. Especially his family and how hard it must have been. I have my window sticker on my car in honor of him and it seemed to talk to me all day yesterday. I cant imagine how hard it must have been for his family to have been happy yesterday. I bet Mike was listening to Metallica up in Heaven all day and rocking out!

My family from Florida is gone and I am putting the house back together, finally doing laundry, and eating everything out of the fridge as I clean it out. Come January, me and the treadmill are going to have an intimate relationship....geez. What one month can do! Grrr!

Carla, how odd of the new meeting! We are all over, yet Vikings kind of rule all of Rke, Salem, Vinton, and Botetourt...don't we. (At least I like to think we do).

I too, had a weird happening yesterday....I went to my mom's house as I have done for many years. Anyone who knows my brother (search for November Productions on myspace), knows that he and I dont speak. At all. He has always been an introvert, I am the extrovert (I know, shocking), he wears all black, I am as pure as the driven snow...ha ha...well, you get the point. He actually came to mom's house yesterday with a new GIRLFRIEND!!!! She is AWESOME!!! A little, petite, head librarian (VERY intelligent) from Detroit. He met her...online...how cute. She and I talked for a long time and I think if it works out...she will do my brother worlds of good. He is a different soul...not a bad one...just hasnt handled all of the tragedies in his life like you and I have. So, I actually spent Christmas with my brother. He spoke to everyone but me...of course..but thats okay. He knows I am still trying and not going to give up. Very weird family dynamics.

Anyone else have anything crazy happen? Please share! See you all tomorrow night! The class of '87 is going to Blue5 tonight and Bre Vassar sent out an invite on facebook, if anyone wants to go. 7pm. It was very nice of her to extend...we returned by inviting '87-ites tomorrow night...as per STef, not me! Take care everybody!

GT~ Cannot WAIT to try the beet dip....um, yeah.....yum!

Carla Boyd (McCabe)

Just want to mention that I will not be at Stefs...so don't expect to pick up shirts there. If you need to get one please call and we will arrange it. Come on folks...if you ordered a shirt please come get it...I could of paid for the Wii my kids got for Christmas with the $$$ still out there for shirts! And to the two of you who refuse to respond to my emails...not cool! Sorry folks...I won't be helping with anything else like this again. I assume I have unloaded all I can...they will soon be going in a box to be packed away in my attic...I just can't look at them any longer.
Lecture over...sorry...it's just frustrating.

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

Carla~ I was hoping you would come on to Stef's. Don't let something like this keep you away from people who do care about you and enjoy your company and efforts. People on the committee know the amount of money I am out for this and other reunions...it's more than about 5 Wii's. Not to mention the second hand shit that I have caught since then from people who you think are good people...but I have refused to let that come between me and the good people we have. It's part of being a leader...you will have people crap on you...but the good outweigh the bad. If I gave up every time I was out money or someone trahsed me...we wouldn't have had a 15th or a 20th. And if anyone would love to be the administrator...I will hand over every bit of reunion crap I have...except the Duran Duran posters...lol. Carla, suck it up and let it go. You try hard...I know that..others do too.

12/27/08 12:27 AM #1550

Amy Wilhelm (McGuirt)

Hey Carla, before you put those in the attic could you please pull out a meduim t-shirt for me?? I just wrote ya a check and I'll drop it in the mail tomorrow! Thanks a bunch :)

12/27/08 04:42 PM #1551

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

Hope to see everyone at Lugar the Cougar's tonight. To those who can't come, we will be thinking about you! Hope everyone had a great Christmas. I hope the New Year brings everyone health and happiness.

Jason Samuel Loving~ I see you on here all the time, the least you could do is show up to something or say hello. Anyone else see Mr. JSL on here all the time?!?!

And now that I am back to feeling good...where is Mr. Todd Selkirk, State Farm Secret Agent?!?!?

12/27/08 04:49 PM #1552

Carla Boyd (McCabe)

Jolee...that isn't why I am not coming. We got invited somewhere before I knew which night Stef's thing would be. We don't have a sitter tonight and this is somewhere we take our kids too. Just wasn't meant to be this time.
You forgot who you were talking to...I would of taken that job if it included the Duran Duran stuff!:)
Stef...tell Rick "hey" for me tonight.

12/27/08 04:53 PM #1553

Carla Boyd (McCabe)

Forgot to mention that my cousin has a big job with State Farm and says she and Todd give each other a hard time. Now...Todd...you get to wonder who my cousin is...:)

Shannon Davis (Nuckolls)

How's the party going at Stef's? It can't beat the party here at my house now. My husband, his brother & father, my daughters & one friend of Jordan's. We are cow racing on Wii!!

12/27/08 08:16 PM #1555

Kristen Witt (Bray)

Greg --- It's 8pm and you are online. Why are you not at Stefs? Shame, shame on you!!!! She will be heart broken. I ran into her ex, Rick, and he was devastated that she has dropped him like a hot potato because of her unresolved feelings for you!

Carla --- I am so sorry that you got stiffed with the shirts/sweatshirts. And I would completely understand if you, Jolee, and any other classmate that got stuck with a bill because of lack of payment from the group would decide never to do that again. It was a nice gesture and I just want you to know that I really appreciate what all you ( and others ) have done.

I hope that everyone is having a great time at Stef's house tonight. I would call and talk to ya'll, but I am sure that I wouldn't be able to hear anything because of the laughing and screaming. :)

Goodnight everyone!!!!!!!!!

Vicky Lakes (Fuller)

Hope everyone had (or actually is still having) a good time at Steph's. Be safe coming home tonight. Post Pictures...as for everyone else, I hope you all had a great Christmas...we are celebrating Christmas (again) tomorrow with John's family...so I have opened up our house to host the 20+ people here. Of course now that the Eagles game was moved to 4 from 1 I guess I will have a house full for much longer than I originally expected. But hopefully no leftovers.

Kristen - let me know about your acceptance to WCU. If you are taking day classes perhaps I can meet you out there one afternoon for lunch afterwards...or dinner if you take evening ones...you know I have a "free" calendar these days.

Susie - Hope you are enjoying your stay in Roanoke, I see that it's getting warmer...you must have brought it with you. My mom freezes every time she comes up here. Christmas presents for her usually consists of something fleece or flannel. Hope you enjoy your time with your dad and family. More so I hope you get the bug to move back to Roanoke sooner than later :p

Amy Wilhelm - Hope you found that shirt you were looking for. I've kept my eyes out for it, spoke to one of Jess' friends that is attending U-Pitt and asked if he'd look for one for me when he heads back next semester.

Take care everyone.

Wow. I cannot believe it is after three in the morning and my sorry butt is still up. I actually just got home. To everyone who came out to Stef's, as always, it is so good to hug the necks of people I haven't seen in 20 years. To catch up with these people is beyond words. It's like meeting them all over again...but better. Stef is the greatest at hosting and I owe her many, many thanks for allowing us to come into her home like we do. She just is wonderful at making everyone feel welcome and at home.

I, like the ding dong that I am, left my battery for my camera charging on the wall...so I will leave it up to Laura to post the pics...if you need help, I will be glad to do it.

PEOPLE WE MISSED TONIGHT: FAYYYYYYEEEEE, SUSSSSIIIEEEEE, MARVINNNNN (understandable, you were working), ANNNNNDERS, ANGELLLOOOOOOO, and a few others. Maybe next time.

Okay, off to bed. I have to entertain for the LAST time tomorrow...my step-sister and her family are coming to do Christmas....geeez...and then I am taking the damn tree down.

Hugs to all~

OH, and before I forget...Jason and Leslie Loving...sooooo good to see you two. Come out more often!

If you are reading this & you have not sent your sweatshirt money to Carla, please HURRY! Do the right thing. Would you want to be out $300 plus in your household? She went the extra mile, there is no telling how much of her time she spent. The sweatshirts are so special. Thank you :)

12/28/08 10:54 AM #1559

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

Hey everybody~ Who can meet for lunch this week? Carla, can you meet me somewhere and bring some of the sweatshirts? I am going to get the ones I talked to you about and then my mom saw mine yesterday and actually wants one! So that would be three and I would like a t-shirt..large...if I can meet you this week, then I will hand you the money directly. Hope this helps. I will be going to William Byrd early tomorrow morning for a basketball tournament...9am. So let me know if we can meet somewhere around there.

Susan Jones (Badger)

I am sorry everyone that I didn't make it last night. I have been under the weather since I got here. I had pink eye which took 3 days to get under control and had to be careful around everyone. Then traveling between Roanoke and Lynchburg has just killed me. I barely have a voice and we are leaving Monday morning at 3 or 4 am to head back to Texas. I took a nap yesterday at 3 with all intentions of getting up and didn't wake up until 7. Went to dinner with my dad and came right back to bed.

I am putting my house on the market in Mid January. Hopefully I can sell and close by the end of school which is June 5th. My school's graduation is June 8th and I have about 15 seniors that I have to walk the stage. If everything goes right, I will be moving back to Roanoke in mid to late June. I will be staying with my dad for about a year while I look for something I really want and get settled back home.

If everything goes as planned we will have a huge backyard blowout this summer at my dad's. He would love it!

I hope everyone has a very safe and Happy 2009. I will be bringing in the new (hopefully last) new year in Texas.

See you guys soon, I promise

12/28/08 01:37 PM #1561

Kristen Witt (Bray)

Amy --- I, too, have been looking for your shirt. But, so far, no luck. I will keep trying though.

Susie --- I hate it that you had pink eye. I know that you thought that you were getting it when we met for breakfast. I hope that you are feeling much better. And trust me, you will probably be taking a nap or sleeping until school starts back. It is so hard when you travel.....especially the distance that you have been travelling!!!!!!!!!! Take good care of yourself!

So, who took pictures at Stefs? Who has a hang over today?

12/28/08 06:59 PM #1562

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

Susie~ Your name was definitely mentioned a few times last night as...where the hell is she? We all wondered if you were sick or something. It was a great time. Laura Clinebell took pictures...so we will have to get those loaded soon.

Let's try to get together for lunch this week anyone who can. We definitely missed those who weren't there. (Kristen, Vicky, Amy WM, Diane and Perry...where are you!?!?)

I am good on the hangover front...I have learned boundaries. I did stay at Lugar's until 2:30 this morning! Eeek! Had so much fun though.

12/28/08 09:16 PM #1563

Faye Sowers (Crute)

sorry I missed last night I have been in the bed all weekend myself, I am not a good sick person :( I know everyone had a blast. Trying to muster up for work tomorrow, have a good night everyone.

12/29/08 05:14 AM #1564

Stefanie Lugar

Good morning! Just wanted to post before I head out for my morning jog, not really but it sounds good.

I had a blast with everyone Sat. night. I'm glad my dining room could serve as a dance floor for some of you. It was a great crowd!!! We will do it again soon! Thanks to you guys for making the nonNHS people feel welcome too.

Kristen-You would be proud. I consumed the least amt. of alcohol of anyone. I still had enough in my body from the night before. I am still recuperating from Friday night. Oh and DJ GT was at the party. He stays on line like that to throw people off. Don't let him fool you. He just doesn't want Rick to know we are hanging out. You know how Rick is.

It was great to see Spiro, Chad and Greg. Jolee was working her magic on the Greek God that night. I found it somewhat odd that the two left almost at the same time, hmmm!!!

DJ GT will be planning the next lunch date. He admitted to slacking on the job. We will be doing it very soon since it has been 2 1/2 months, right Greg T.?

12/29/08 09:48 AM #1565

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

Hi all~ Just got done with my 3 hours on the treadmill. Not really, but Lugar made me laugh with hers, so I thought I would keep it going.

As for Lugggarr~ About my Greek God...you made it very clear that you two went to Sadie Hawkins together, as well as other intimate moments shared. He fully agreed you were hot that night. Furthermore, YOU were the one who told me that he was BACK at your place after we left...and he told me he was in Blacksburg when he texted me as I was going in the OPPOSITE direction from B'burg...so we'll let the rest be surmised. But, um, yeah...he's hot. Love him. And the rest of the gang was fun too.

I hope the scuff marks come off the top of the buffet table you have...I showed a few people how much fun it is to dance up high as opposed to on the floor.

Definitely need a karaoke party...Turbo...work on it!!

Tara Jones~ I THANK you from the bottom of my heart for sharing yourself and your wonderful bullet-proof vest-wearing husband with us Vikings. Your blood is 1/4 green...admit it. I hope you will come with us to girls' weekend. I think you would have a blast and could probably use a break...the house will get settled in...you have the rest of your life to do that!

Lunch?!?! When?!?!
