Cristina Cunningham Noble was taken far too prematurely from this Earth on Dec. 21, 1997 due to what is believed to be a hereditary edema-like condition in her heart. For the longest time it was not known what had taken her.. be it an aneurysm or the like. What is known, she had a daughter, Sierra, just over a year old at her passing. My wife and I have come to know Sierra through Cristina's parents, who we are still very good friends with. Sierra is the embodiment of Cristina's spirit and personality. Cristina was one of the three biggest blessings in my life to have been friends with. She was to be a part of our wedding day... There's not a day that has passed that I don't think about her and how she'd have been amazed at how much her daughter is like her in so many ways. Her family - older brother Jay, and parents Jack and Sandy - miss her terribly. Should Heaven need an angel with lots of endurance... she'll no doubt excel in that department.
Thank you Jay for that beautifully written response. I remember her as a superb athelete and an extremely nice person. I know that she is missed by so many!
