Benson, Scott T. Formerly of Robbinsdale passed away at home in Brooklyn Center on April 8th at age 73. We find comfort in knowing he will be lovingly greeted by his parents, Ladd and Shirley and his sister, Jill. He is survived by sisters, Bonnie Benson and Becky (Peter) Gutlovics; nephews Joe (Julie) Battig and Dan (Emily) Gutlovics; great-nieces and nephews, Nina, Lana and Jack Battig, Elona, Landon and Graham Gutlovics. He was a Vietnam Vet and retired from the U of M. He was involved with Zuhrah Shriners, Drum Corp, MN Brass Inc, Arcana Masonic #187, Twin Cities Men's club, SAAB Club, Motorcycle club, BAA, Thursday night "Happy Hour" and Friday night "Attitude Adjustment". He was a devoted follower of the Middle Spunk Creek Boys, his favorite Blue Grass Band. Scott will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He will be remembered for his devotion to both and for his gentle nature, laugh and authentic hugs. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, April 28th from 3-6 PM at Cremation Society of MN, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Park.

In a way I knew Scott since we were born, hours apart at St. Barnabas Hospital. We were next to each other when we graduated at Milke Field in 1964.  He was a great person with great parents (Ladd & Shirley) .
