I did not know Dave very well in high school, but we became friends through turkey hunting on the farm of a mutual friend, Jim Lindquist (Robbinsdale '65). Dave always seemed to be the one to get the turkey on our annual spring hunting trips, even if he was sleeping in the blind. I'll always remember the wild rice soup he would bring each year, the laughing, the camaraderie, and, oh yes, the hunting. I wish that I had known him much sooner.
