Linda and I live within site of the Pacific ocean in Fortuna, Ca. We have lived in the same house since 1982. We belong to Wood St. Chapel Foursquare church and are active there. I was a heavy equipment operator and hazardous tree faller for the State Parks for 26 1/2 years. I loved the work, it was all in the redwood parks and the mountains and at the ocean. Linda is from Mankato, Minn. and I met her while I was playing music at a coffee house there called the Iron Butterfly. She was on the staff and we hit it off right away. We were married in 1968 in Las Vegas. I attended the 'U' of Minn. 2 years and Mankato State for 5 1/2 years. My true love was music though and I began playing at clubs and coffee houses in Minn. Then I picked up a couple of more musicians and formed a band that became verry successful in Minn, Wisc, Ill, and I played alone on tours of ski resorts in colorado. I finally migrated to California where I formed another band and we played in the Monterey and Sanfrancisco Bay areas. I loved it but it was hard work and after 9 1/2 years and a rather severe motorcyle accident I decided to get a straigt job. We've lived in CA. fulltime since 1973. I took a job as a manager at a Sears in Santa Cruz, where we lived and after 2 1/2 years I was picked up by the State Parks and stayed. That's the short version and ther's a lot more but I look forward to hearing from anyone and everyone and to possibly seeing you at the reunion! The only persons I'm still in touch with from our class is Jerry Bull and Mark Rylander. I'd especially love to hear from Paul Juris, Bruce Currier, Rick Dahlstrom, Warren Howland, Al Christiansen, John (Jack) Foster, Kenny Hollenbeck, Gary Larsen, and so many others. We are planning a trip back to Minn. right now and hope we can include the reuinion.
This web site is great! I've heard from many of you I was looking for and many who just chose to make contact! After our trip to Minn. 2 yrs. ago we actually talked to quite a few old friends. It seems like really a lot of them have moved to Wisconsin, Colorado and (of all places) Seattle. I hope to hear from more of you and if there's a way, I'd like to be at the 50th reunion. I'd really like to hear from Warren Howland and Paul Juris. If anyone can help me find them I'd truly appreciate it.
