Cathy was such a positice force in school who set a wonderful example for her classmates.  Of course, I fondly remember her for many things, but most prominately as RHS's (the biggest high school in the state) Majorette--spectacular.

Also thinking about Bill and her family.

I just attended the funeral for Cathy. Roger and I attended with Kathy Stoltenberg King, Cathy Schweigert Rieckenberg, Carolyn Anderson Tunby, Donna Widstrom Dunn and her partner Nancy. It was heartbreaking to lose Cathy so young. She was a much loved wife (Bill Salinger, ‘63) mother of two girls, and nana to three. But we all remember Cathy as a fun loving, joyful, happy classmate who had an infectious laugh and killer sense of humor. Her heart was in worse condition than the doctors thought and she did not ever regain consciousness after her open heart surgery. But as Bill said, she knew this was a serious surgery but she also knew that she wanted to live more fully or not at all. We will remember Cathy with so much affection and not a small amount of joy.

I was so sadded to hear of Cathy's passing. She was a wonderful friend during our RHS days, and was one of my bridesmaids so many years ago. Her beauty inside and out drew many to her, as did her laugh and sense of humor.  I only wish we had stayed in touch over the years.  My thoughts and prayers go to Bill and family.
