Kathy and Brian Taylor's favorite cousin, Judene, passed away at the age of 43 and we still miss her to this very day. She married Dick Schmeltzer (Robbinsdale, '63) shortly after graduation. They had one son, Richard Junior. Divorced after many good years, they remained friends until acute pancreaitis cruely took her from us on April Fools Day, 1990.
Taken too soon, we reminisce about our youth together...Seaman Park skating, Baby Mountain sliding, fireworks at the golf course and our Bible study with Grandpa Swan... Junior high away and then back home to Golden Valley and Robbinsdale High...new friends, graduation, marriage, a son, Vietnam, flower power...summers up north at the resort, tacos every night, the bear's head prank and more new friends to last a life time.
We will remember you, our red haired cousin; all the good times and none of the bad because there was none.
Robbinsdale Robins, the mighty, mighty Robins; we hope some had the chance to know our Jude. Renew old acquaintences, remember those days. She will be with us on reunion night, if only in memories of days in our past.
I had the pleasure of getting to know and like Judene while sitting behind her in Home Room for three years. We got to know each other during this time. She was easy to talk to and had a great sence of humor. She left us too soon.
Jude was my best friend all through high school and right up until she passed away. I miss her beautiful face and her unconditional love. Losing her at such a young age was and still is one of the most difficult events I have had to deal with in my life. Most of my high school memories involve getting in trouble with Jude and her finding an unbelievable way of getting us out of it! I miss her everyday,

Judene and Lynn Felton were my bridesmaids , November 1964.
Two of the most beautiful bridesmaids a girl could have. Both of them passed away so young.
