It is with great sadness to write that Bambi Smith McDowell passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 after a lengthy illness. Bambi was an amazing friend and classmate, and she will be greatly missed by her husband Wayne, daughters Kelly and Robyn and granddaughters, as well as all who were lucky enough to know her. Bambi and I became best friends in the Brownies in 2nd grade, and we remained great friends throughout our time at RHS. We roomed together Freshman year at Mankato State, were bridesmaids for each other, and continued our friendship through the years. I saw Bambi the end of March, and as usual, we reminisced about the great times and friends we had at RHS. Bambi and Wayne lived in Sun City Grand, Surprise, AZ. A memorial service will be held May 11th, 3:00 pm at Spirit of Grace church, 15820 W. Grandview Blvd, Surprise, AZ.
