What's the statute of limitations for breaking into a building to work on the yearbook? I'm not saying any more until I talk with a lawyer. :-)
Have more F**KIN' FUN. I was FAR too serious.
I worked in my dad's drug store in West Concord on weekends and during the summer, which took me away from a lot of things that I wanted to be doing with friends. The summer between Junior and Senior year I started working part-time as a studio cameraman at KROC-TV (now KTTC-TV); a position that is now obsolete.
My folks wouldn't let me have my own car until I graduated, but... When my grandma decided to sell me her 1966 Buick Wildcat in the spring of '76, they gave in.
I went to a few. Mostly with girls I knew from West Concord.
Good question. Nerdy? Conservative? I can't think of a third...
Compassionate. Giving. Caring.
I wanted to act and direct in sitcoms. Well, I've been an extra in film and television productions, I've performed in a variety of community theatre productions, and in 2004 I began directing at area theatres with the production of "Greetings!" at the Rochester Repertory Theatre. I've also directed for the Mantorville Theatre Company and PAPA (Pine Area People for the Arts).
If you want to work in television and film, go to a college on the west coast NOT Mankato State, and do an internship - even if it's unpaid - in a major metropolitan area NOT the local TV station.
Hawaii - for vacation. I've lived in Eau Claire, WI, Lansing, MI, Colorado Springs, Co, Seattle, WA & San Francisco, CA... and ended up back in Rochester.
Where a lot of people would pick sports personalities or historical figures, my choice is Danny Thomas. He was so much more than an entertainer. As a television producer, he brought us "The Dick Van Dyke Show," "The Andy Griffith Show," "I Spy," "The Mod Squad," and plenty more. He helped Aaron Spelling get his start in the industry. He discouraged his daughter, Marlo, from becoming an actress. But when he suggested she meet Phil Donahue, she took his advice. His son, Tony, produced TV shows like "Soap," "The Golden Girls" and "Empy Nest." And Danny's most impressive credential; he was the founder of St. Jude's Childrens' Hospital.
Danny Thomas, Carl Reiner, Dick Van Dyke, Jack Lemmon, Burgess Meredith, Gene Hackman, Ned Beatty, Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Kate Hepburn and Spencer Tracy. Okay, I invited 11. With me it makes 12, so that's a nice even number for a dinner party. :-)
Pippin from the filmed broadway production of "Pippin."
That list is endless...
