Comments:

I haven't been back to Rochester for a long time! :( I attended BYU for 2 years and then transferred to the University of Georgia for undergrad and grad school. I rode on the UGA hunter/jumper equestrian team for 4 years, making it to Nationals in 1992, placing 6th in the nation. I received my undergrad in exercise phsyiology and my masters in Health and Physical Education. I taught PE and coached basketball, track, and fast-pitch softball for 3 years in North Georgia during which I met my husband, got married, and got pregnant. :) I love teaching kids and being outside - I guess that is how I ended up being a PE teacher. I have also totally fallen in love with sports. In fact, I am probably one of the biggest fans of college football ever, especially Georgia football and basketball! Go DAWGS!! Woof! Woof! Woof!

We moved to South Georgia in a small town called Thomasville just north of Tallahassee, FL in 1999 - Loved it! J'lyn was born in Thomasville in 1999. We were there for 2 years, during which I stayed at home with my daughter, ran a pet sitting business and a horseback riding/showbarn facility. Jay's work then took us to Central GA where we were for about 9 months before moving on to Tucson, AZ. Our second daughter, Cierra, was born Sept. 11, 2002 in Tucson.

My husband has his masters through UGA in Equine Reproductive physiology - he does all the high-tech breeding stuff. I could go into more detail, but it would probably make you blush! :) He now runs, technically, the largest Arabian breeding program in the world - Al-Marah Arabians. You can check it out online, if you so desire. Mrs. T, the owner, registers more babies every year than any arabian farm in the world. Anyway, he is in the foaling and breeding season from Jan to June. The last 4 years, he has foaled out 50 babies a year!!

We have been in Tucson for almost 8 years. I stayed at home for 3 years and then slowly got back into teaching. I taught K-5 PE in a K-8 private school in Tucson and then got "promoted" - if that's what you want to call it - to 5-8 PE teacher and Athletic Director. Our school was very successful during my 2 year stint and then I burned out. I changed schools and jobs last year - I now teach 7th and 9th grade Bio at a private college-prep 6-12 school called St. Gregory's. I love teaching science! I continue to teach riding lessons. Every summer, my daughter's, our horses, and I trek across country to run a girls' horseback camp in the Appalacian mountains of Georgia.

When my husband is not working with horses, he is playing music. He had a band in Georgia, but now it's just him and his guitar. He plays places all over Tucson and even has a song on iTunes. He plays an average of 4 nights a week! Beside horses and music, Jay is finishing up his PhD and teaches Biology at Pima Community College.

Our daughters are now 10 and 7, in 5th and 1st grade. They both take piano, drama, and ride horses. Both are talented artists, love pink, dinosaurs, bugs, and rocks! Cierra is a talented drama queen and J'lyn is a very talented fast-pitch softball pitcher. She pitches around 50mph as a 10 year old! I have to wear catcher's gear to catch for her!

Anyway, I could keep blabbing on and on. Please email me when you get a chance. My direct email is above in my profile. I would love to hear from you!
