I have spent the last 20 years building a family, finding my niche and learning to be comfortable in my own skin.
I attended college at Mankato State, marrying Dyle Brower following my sophmore year. We had Bree in 1993 and divorced a year later. I spent my Junior year at Mankato pregnant, and took some time off from school to be a single mom.
I worked as an administrative assistant for the local school district during the school year and sold mountain bikes for a small mom and pop shop in the summer. This is where I met my husband, Shawn (I sold him his mountain bike!). I was impressed because he paid cash for an $800 mountain bike. I learned later that he didn't own a car. He used to ride his bike all the way to North Mankato to see me, even in the dead of winter.
On September 11, 2001 my sister Jessica Sachs was on a business trip to Los Angeles on Flight 11. She lost her life as the plane she was flying in hit the World Trade Center. This loss devastated our family. We miss her dearly.
My husband Shawn and I married in 2002. He currently works as Police Officer for Farmington and as a sniper for the Dakota County MAAG Team.
I worked for State Farm for six years before leaving when my son Aidan was born in 2004. I finished my IT degree at Concordia St. Paul and have been able to stay home by caring for several children in my home and through freelance writing. I write mostly marketing materials for non profit organizations, and online articles. My claim to fame is an interview with American Idol runner up Kelly Pickler.

Chloe was born in January 2009 and although she came as a surprise, she has been a cheerful addition to our family.
Bree is enjoying all the ups and downs of her junior year at Farmington High School. I honestly don't remember all of the drama that seems to surround high school, but I may be blocking it all out.
As I move into the next decade, I will continue to develop my freelance writing business, and enjoy time with family and friends.
