Periodically I get together w/ a group from 1961-1966 including "little" John Dimitri '66 who remembers you all. Anyway,we also include John Dailor science teacher who left for East Rochester circa 1968. I suspect he is "last man standing" from the faculty of the
1950's to early 1960's. Should you be interested in including him in the 50th observances he may be reached in HFL at 585 624 4751 or e mail Johned74@gmail.com
I along w/ a few others - hopefully "Big Daddy" - anticipate joining your group at O'Loughlin's on 24 July .

Seeking alternatives from French IV (1960-1961) I would take myself to the nurses office for a short nap or, alternatively, a half hour chat with Dr. Frances who always seemed to have an open door policy. He was always most gracious and, in June of 1961, drove me, along with Ed Magruder, to a Caldwell and Cook housing site off Dewey in Greece. Thanks to his concern we secured employment doing landscape work. Unfortunately, I was subsequently made "redundant" and then got a job at 75 cents an hour at the old Paramount Theater on North Clinton. These two jobs provided me w/ pocket money for my first college year
His demeanor was certainly a dramatic counterpoint to the only principal the school had previously - the arguably austere and seemingly distant Elmer Snyder
Mr. Gordon was still alive well into the 1970's when I lived next to his brother Bill (a retired postal carrier who wrote many books on local railroads). He continued writing letters to the editor re Viet Nam and social outreach.
Still drove his car although severely visually impaired
