Just a word of caution: My neighbor is in the hospital with Covid. They had the ComCast guy out working. All parties had masks on and kept a safe distance. A few days later the family got a call from ComCast saying the guy had tested positive and they were notifying all of his recent calls. My neighbor developed symptoms and difficulty breathing on Sunday and wife took him to the hospital. She has also tested positive, their adult daughter who lives with them tested negative. He is 70 and fit as a fiddle, does a lot of manual labor building houses, recently completed an addition onto his house. No underlying illnesses. Today, he is doing a little better. For this illness to have hit so close to home, it makes you aware of how vulnerable we are and how the family suffers from the absence of a loved one. Will he live to enjoy his new house? She is depressed and lonely, scared and can't eat? She can't be with him should he become worse. The children can't see either parent. Of course, all of this has been on the news. Please be aware of who comes into your home and weigh your priorities. Is that service worth the price of a loved one suffering or dying? Keep up your guard sanitizing surfaces in your home and car. It is not proven, but we think he might have contracted the disease by surface contamination - door knobs, remote control device, computer keyboard, etc.
Wishing you all a safe and happy Christmas season. I'm rather looking forward to it this year, we will have family over only if they are safe and healthy. No presents - who wants to shop under these circumstances, and I think we have all learned nothing is more valuable than our loved ones. Some of our people are struggling to survive financially and no one needs to be burdened with an "obligation present."
Thanksgiving was great, everyone brought some very interesting and delicious contributions - Challa and chocolate Babka (to die for!!!)
