School Story:

Attended Rock Hill High School until June 1968. Entered the US Air Force as one striper, Airman. Left school in the 12th grade, took USAF exam in 1969. Recieved Certificate from South Carolina High School.

Entered the US Air Force, graduated from Chanute AFB Technical Training Center in Rantoul, IL as an Aircraft Hydraulics Specialist. Assigned to Lajes Field Azores from 1968-1970. Keesler AFB, MS from 1970-1971. Married Air Force Member Patricia in 1971. Assigned to Phan Rang, Viet Nam in 1971-1972. Assigned to Ubon Ratchatani AB, Thailand 1972-1972. Returned to Keesler AFB, MS then assigned to Pope AFB, NC in 1973. Assigned to Hahn AB, Germany in 1979. Assigned to Beale AFB, CA in 1982. Retired from the USAF as Technical Sgt/E-6 in 1988 then 1989. (two retirements). Began an engraving business/trophies, plaques in 1986 until October 2011. Was granted a Master Technician Status at Beale AFB. Top Secret Clearance. I have recieved over 71 various medals (some 6 times each). Now divorced. But recently found my New Love! Myra Jocelyn Poole from Texas. She's Army but I won't let her choice of service bother me! I've just recieved my Easter Gift. My Bunny is now above my military awards!

As with any former student that I didn't know personally but have noticed in those days at RHHS it is very sad  to see one of them pass away. I hold all of you in my heart still with memories spent with you nearby in the halls of school. You may not have noticed me but I remember you. Bless you for just being there with me back then, whether I knew you closely or not. You are in God's hands now.   Ken Hinson
