After Graduating from Winthrop in 1979, I operated our family business, Elliott Exxon, from 1979 until December, 2006 when I sold the business.

I then went to UNCC and received a certificate
in Paralegal Studies in 2008. I then returned to the
work force taking a position with the Administration of the Courts for the State of
North Carolina. I was a Superior Court Civil Administrator for
the 16th Judicial District in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
I was medically retired in 2013 after an accident that occurred at work.
