School Story
Hi everyone. I went to junior college then U of I. I dropped out and worked and travelled abroad for 2 years living in Israel, Afghanistan,India and Nepal most of that time. I had many amazing experiences (and some just the opposite!) I studied Asian philosophy and meditation while in Asia. I came home and recovered from a severe illness. Went to Med school at U of I then residency in So Cal at U of California Irvine. Board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology. Special interest has always been working with the most seriously mentally ill(who are among the kindest people I have known)and the interface of psychology & spirituality. My wife Gail and I live in Sacramento. I Retired from Kaiser Medical group and I am now teaching medicine & psychiatry to medical students 3 days a week at California North State University. I enjoy it greatly...generating something with the next generation. I stay in touch with some of my buddies from Rocky.I like to walk our 2 labs Simon and Emmi along the river near my home. As I get older I am appreciating that all of us from the class of 71 are in our 67th year (of wisdom) Wishing you the best and hoping I will make it to the reunion. Marty
