The year 2015 has very special meaning for us as we are celebrating our 35 year class reunion!  As your class reunion committee, we are excited about the activities we have planned for September 18-19, 2015!

Reunion festivities will “kick off” with a home football game with Northern Nash vs. Goldsboro on Friday evening, September 18, 2015.  Please arrive by 7:00 PM.  Buy your tickets by registering on the enclosed form and pick them up at the gate prior to the game.  The Class of 1980 will be seated in a reserved section of the stadium.

Following the football game, everyone is invited to continue the festivities at the Reunion Social at Country Inn & Suites (Room 106) (672 English Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).  A hospitality room has been reserved to allow classmates to mingle while enjoying refreshments.  Heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, and soft drinks will be available. Please bring a chair!

Our 35th year class reunion banquet will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015, 6:00 - 10:00 PM at Northern Nash High School (4230 Green Hills Rd, Rocky Mount, NC  27804).  This homecoming affair will include a dinner catered by Doug Sauls, a business meeting, and a special program of remembrance and recognition with class president, Arlin Chavis, presiding.  Following the program, a deejay will provide music from the ’80’s for an “old school jam”.  Dress will be casual.

An area photographer will be on hand at the reunion event!  Besides taking candid shots during the evening, he will be available for photos you request of families, best friends, teammates, band members, and more.  Photos of various sizes may be purchased.

Special 35th reunion polo shirts are available to commemorate this occasion!  These short-sleeved, dark green shirts will include a white and gold embroidered emblem. Place your order on the enclosed “Polo Shirt Order Form”.

In order to participate in the reunion activities, please complete and return the enclosed registration form and include a check or money order for all fees no later than June 30, 2015.  (If you prefer, you may also register and pay for reunion activities online at nnsh1980.com.)  Your payment will be applied to such essentials as facility rental charges, postage, and decorations.  All funds will be handled through an interest-gaining bank account.  All excess money which exists in the account following this reunion will be maintained and applied to future reunion expenses.

Your prompt response to this letter will be a great help in planning.  If you know of a classmate who has not received a copy of this letter, please contact a committee member.  Also, if you know of any recently deceased member of the Class of 1980, please notify a committee member.
