Lucille Howard (Wingard)

It is very sad to report the passing of Lucille Howard Wingard on July 15.  Most of you have enjoyed the consistently creative updating of our website.  This was virtually all Lucille's doing.  Her IT skills were significant, sorely needed, and greatly appreciated.  Even as her health failed, Lucille continued to manage the website, making seasonal changes and adding interesting and entertaining content.  Depite coming late to Rocky River High School, Lucille had a keen interest in making the website something everyone would want to visit.

Community service was nothing new to Lucille.  She was an active member of her church.  Indeed, the Broadview Heights Chamber of Commerce established the Klipfell-Wingard Gift of Time Volunteer of the Year Award in recognition of the incredible contributions of John Klipfell and Luculle Wingard, the inaugural recipients of the award.  Lucille managed all the advertising sales for the Spotlights Theater in Broadview Heights.  She loved planning all kinds of evernts including class reunions, Victorian teas, costume parties, fashion shows and fundraisers of all kinds.

She will be missed and remembered by many, particularly regular visitors to the RRHS Class of 59 website.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Lucille Wingard.  I met her at a couple of our Class Reunions and often responded to her postings on our Class website and we always had interesting conversations.  She really enjoyed keeping our class website up to date.

Lucille was on my list to send jokes e-mails to regularly and she often sent me jokes that she liked and thought I might used.  I last had contact with her in June and knew she was sick.  The Lord has a very special person in his care.
