I really got to know Jim through corresponding with him urging him to attend our 40th Reunion and when he came to our cocktail party at our home reunion week-end. Our "keeping in touch" with him and his family continued even after he passed away. He was a special person and I am glad to have known him and I miss him. Binnie Bittel Kelly

Jim was a good friend of mine. I used to stay at his big house when we were kids and play in the park next door. As a funny note which was indicative of Jim. One night he taught me how to lite farts. Not a great accomplisment in the big picture of things. Sometime it is the funny things in life that are the best memories. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Seems like my memories of Jim always ended up in some kind of hot water ... nothing serious. At least we didn't think so. He was a very fun guy - the world is a sadder place without him. I spoke at some length with his son and he reminded me of some of the stories Jim had told him about RRHS and the stuff we did.

Jim's death really hit me - we were really good friends in high school. And...I felt the loss again during the 50th. As great as the reunion was, I couldn't help but miss "Cheeks."
