Funeral services for Carlotta J. "Carla" Walsh (nee Wallner), 64, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine, where she will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The Rev. Jim Wilson will officiate.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. Born Feb. 9, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, she passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, peacefully at home. Carla worked at Barrington High School for 22 years and was involved with women's youth soccer. She was the Ohio State Coach of the year. She enjoyed her cats and gardening, and had great love for her five grandsons. She was loved deeply and will be missed by all.
Survivors include her husband, Norman V. Walsh; daughter, Michelle (Daniel) Connolly; son, Michael (Shelly) Walsh; grandchildren, Kevin and David Connolly, and Maxwell, Mitchell and Michael Jr. Walsh; and her sister, Martha Urban. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mathias and Elizabeth (nee Ludwig) Wallner. For information, 847-358-7411.
