John McCain and Barack Obama somehow ended up at the same barbershop. As they sat there, each being worked on by a different barber, not a word was spoken. The barbers were even afraid to start a conversation, for fear it would turn to politics.

As the barbers finished their shaves, the one who had Obama in his chair reached for the aftershave. Obama was quick to stop him saying, "No thanks,my wife Michelle will smell that and think I've been in a whorehouse."

The second barber turned to McCain and said, "How about you?" McCain replied, "Go ahead, my wife doesn't know what the inside of a whorehouse smells like."

That's ok Angela....be a lightweight..I bet Shannon will drink some beer with me (and Joe, and Randy, and Big E, and Big T, and Terry G., and Sneaky Snake, and Jerry, and Bruce, and Jeff, and Gina, and Max, and any other high school alcoholic I left out...(sorry Tessa, a 2 beer limit doesn't count).

Angela McNeill (Williams)

Just give Tessa enough so she'll start doing a twirling routine with me! But not too much or her and Shannon will gang up on me and tell some wild stories.

Hey, I want to give an early shout out "THANKS!!!!!!!!" to Gina for working her ass off to put this together! (yes, I said "ass").....As we speak I think her fingers are burning from all the phone calls, typing, and printing of scrapbooks that she's done. I think everyone will be so excited and surprised at how nicely all is going to turn out, and if you aren't well pppppfffffltttttttt to you.. heehee.

Hey Khoring, I'll drink a few with you.

Ange and Ron, didn't mean to leave you guys out--thanks for your business as well. Hopefully I will see you guys one of these days. If I do, drinks and peanuts are on me.

All of you, I told Gina I would put together a bunch of old 80's music. I have about 2 days worth of stuff that covers about everything I can remember. I've had a lot of fun and gone through lots of beer listening to all of this. Nothing like the old music to bring back the memories. If any of you have some specific requests, let me know so that I can make sure it gets on the playlist.

See you all in a few days.

Hey guys, here's a thought. Steven asked me is it cash bar or BYOB. If anyone wants to take this on and organize this then by all means go ahead. We will have coolers there to keep the beer cold and the liguor store (CC's) is just right behind the banquet hall. I'm just not sure how much everyone drinks anymore but from the sound of it we still all sound like lushes just able to afford the better stuff now. I heard trash can punch a couple of times and I guess everyone seemed to forget I made it! That could be dangerous to make some for the reunion. But guys get together and figure out what would be best.

Joe, you sure have been quiet since you and Steven made up. I guess since it's almost time for you to leave they must be doing the final evaluations at the hospital on you to make sure you will be attending. Getting your meds squared away and such. Have a safe flight down here and don't pick up any prostitues on the way, not enough food & Tessa has that cute little nurse lined up I do believe.

Eric, Thanks for taking care of the music part that is one less thing I had to deal with this week! Much appreciated!

Since I still have everyones attention does anyone have a projector to hook up to a laptop so we can project the slideshow on the wall? If so let me know ASAP.

Any last minute ideas are still appreciated so let me know.

That's the Terry I remember. She drinks the real stuff.

Angela & Tessa: If you do an old-time twirling routine, please do the one with "Salt & Peppa". Remember that?
If you can name that tune, I'll by you a beer.

Eric: I'll knock back a couple of cold one's with you. Maybe after that you can spell my last name correctly. As for 80's music, anything from Def Leppard, Loverboy, ZZ, George Strait, John or Earl Thomas Connally, Ronnie Millsap, Run DMC, Beasty Boys, LL Cool J, Joan Jett, Air Supply, Two-Live Crew, Vanilla Ice, Van Halen, etc.

Gina, Ange and Eric - thanks for getting this together!! looks like we'll have a great time thanks to y'alls hard work!

Sorry, Steven--I'm a wine girl now. If I do have a margarita--it's only Patron and on the rocks. I vote for the cash bar

Can't wait to see everyone!! I get a smile on my face listening to the 80's on XM!!

Hey, don't thank me. Gina and Angela have done all the work. Sorry Steven, my spelling might be better after a few beers. What happened to Joe? Maybe he decided to drive from George and is out of touch for a while.

Well hell, it looks like we may have a party crasher by the name of IKE!!! I don't know what to expect but we will just make the best of it under the pavilion if need be. We could make a huge slip n slide and play in the rain possibly. Well let's all take a moment and say a prayer that Ike won't hit until after Saturday night or at least after 3 when we get done at the park. If anyone has any connections with mother nature put in a call please!

If anyone coming from out of town is changing their mind due to the weather please let me know. I'm watching things develop and will keep messages posted if things begin to change but as of now everthing is still going as planned.

For all of those concerned, Joseph's been found. He's in Oklahoma with family trying to recover from the constant verbal abuse he's taken on the forum. The doctors at Greenleaf Medical Center speculate on whether he's healthy enough to continue on his quest.

As his father, I feel obligated share a little history of Joseph's mental instability. When he was a newborn, Ajolph Vaja accidentally dropped him on his head. Initially we thought he was okay but noticed slight oddities in his behavior. For example, he always requested fava beans and a nice chianti with every meal? Since, we've always been able to keep him stable with amble medication. I hope the forum hasn't put him over the edge.

To all - Hope I can hang with you over the weekend. Oklahoma has 3.2 beer and I fear my tolerance has weakened. Guess we'll find out.

Finally, Travis has joined us. Welcome. I was starting to get concerned that Joe may have relapsed. Its been so nice to see Joe and Steven so close again. It's almost like college all over again.

09/10/08 10:42 PM #87

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

Travis, I love the family photos you sent but was disappointed you didn't include Joe in them. I'll be sure to get a nice family photo of all of you this weekend.

Eric, so should I break out the fog machine and disco ball?

John Ray, thanks so much for hooking us up with the proxima for the slideshow everything looks to be in place and good to go.

Except IKE! I don't think we will let one little hurricane stop us from partying though will we??????

09/10/08 11:01 PM #88

Eric Cobb

Gina, why not?

We'll see what happens, but this storm is looking pretty ugly. Pretty bad timing on Ike's part. As long as everyone can safely get there, we will have a good time no matter what the weather does. To all those driving in, be careful.

By the way, any word on the football game. Cameron has moved their game up to Thursday night and I think several others have been changed as well.

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

I'll check with the school tomorrow to see what they are looking at. I'm looking into a plan B for Saturday in the park just to be safe if it gets rained out. If worse comes to worse we will still go ahead with Saturday night's activites. Again I'll keep everyone updated as I know more. Ange is to call me tomorrow so we can talk further on things.

Everyone gives us some feedback on their feelings and especially if we have anyone traveling from out of town that will be backing out PLEASE let me know.

09/11/08 10:26 AM #90

Donna Skrabanek (Stone)

Gina I'm concerned for everyone traveling even on Saturday night. I'm really excited to see everyone, but I don't want anyone to get hurt trying to get there. I know that it would be hard to reschedule, but do you think it might be better?

09/11/08 01:04 PM #91

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

We are not rescheduling and going with things as planned. For those traveling out of town, you make the decision for what is safest for you and your family. As of now the consensus says, have the reunion, so we are going as planned. As posted in the announcement if the weather prohibits the family day in the park we will be meeting at the cafeteria area at Rogers ISD.

I contacted the school and the football game is going on as scheduled. It begins at 7:30, Adult tickets are $5 and kids $3.

If it is raining and many don't want to attend the game due to the weather we will still meet at Lonestar Bar & Grill that night or possibly earlier at another location and go from there.

If everyone can buddy up with a classmate to create a phone chain, (one call another to another to another etc.) this will help to pass word on and keep everyone in the loop. Or call Ange or myself for updates when in town or keep checking the site for updates!

09/11/08 01:23 PM #92

Donna Skrabanek (Stone)

Well if IKE keeps moving east, we might not have the high winds that were expected. This would be good. We will still have the rain, but I think that would be okay. I was just concerned about both wind and rain causing unsafe travel conditions.

Gina, thanks for all that you have done to get this together and for arranging alternatives due to the weather. You have been great and I can't wait to see you and everyone else.

09/11/08 02:15 PM #93

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

You guys and gals, thanks for all the kudo's, it's been worth it and would do it all over again, even though I was soooooooo mistreated in school (yes I'm needing to feel some love from my classmates right now)...lol. I just can't wait to see everyone & I hope that all goes well and everyone is happy with the ending results.

For those who are going to be booking hotel rooms, if you haven't done so please look into doing this ASAP. We are getting many of the evacuees and things are getting booked up fast. If anyone needs help let me know and I will do what I can.

09/11/08 05:35 PM #95

Rhonda McKenzie (Powell)

Well, if we have any bartenders in the house, I'll take a Grey Goose Cosmo!! Margaritas on the rocks are good too. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone, if weather permits but you all had better be old, ugly and fat. Just kidding, you don't have to be fat or ugly.
The Jr Meteorologist (AKA my mother-who now watches the Weather Channel as if she were receiving a grade)says it's going to get pretty messy. We are going to be on weather watch before we head down there. The updates on the website are great but the people who worked on it are FABULOUS!!! You guys did do a wonderful job and we love you for it. Party on!
