Asa Olofsson (Tolke)

Hi guys!

Sorry for not showing up for these gatherings. I am a reluctant traveller and think the next reunion should be held in Sweden. You can all camp on my front lawn.

One thing that bothered me the other day was that I can't remember, or maybe I just never did figure out, why we kept singing "Happy Birthday" to coach Blocker. We were annoying little kids.

There is much I don't remember about 1988, but whenever I drink a Dr Pepper it all comes back to me. That is what I had with my lunch all year, and now they have started selling them in Sweden too. Who needs pictures?

I hope you have a great time reuniting.

Tessa Richter (Guevara)

Uh, Joe and Steven K., are you guys serious? I realize it's been a few days and I'm kinda hoping we are all being "punked." Sincerely, just checking....

Asa, welcome to the forum! Nice post! I'm all for a reunion in Sweden...got my passport ready!!

09/03/08 07:14 PM #48

Travis Schiller

Joe- Sorry it has taken us so long to reply. Our computer died and we just got a new one.

I am sure Travis will respond sooner or later! (He still does not get in a big hurry about things)

As for me, I have forgiven you but I have one question?

What prostitutes?

Your mom-Lorri

09/04/08 02:08 PM #49

Joseph Bartek

Tessa - There is no need to be concerned regarding the situation that exists between Steven and I. We had a conversation off line recently and have agreed to disagree. Our differences go back well over a decade and I guess this reunion has stirred up some issues that will never be resolved. We both have agreed to not ruin the reunion for everyone else. I'm sure that everything will be ok. As posted above, I have apologized to him both on this forum and in verbal interaction via telephone. I feel confident that we can both at least pretend to get past our issues for the foreseeable future.

Lori - Once again I am sorry about your computer. Seems like I am constantly apologizing to people. So here goes another. I may have been a bit hasty in labeling certain individuals in Rosebud as prostitutes. In reality only a few were and they shall remain nameless. A few bad apples can skew one's vision on the whole I guess. And thanks for forgiving me for my transgressions during my recent visit to your home. You are the bestes mom in whole wide world.

Tessa Richter (Guevara)

Well, welcome back to the forum Joe! I don't know if it's my lack of sleep talking or what but may I ask where the hell you have been. I don't know if you know it or not but I have some pretty long hours at work. Yes that's right, while your resting your pretty little head at night, I'm up, providing pain relief to any pregnant woman who is CRAZY enough to let me, of all people, stick her in the back with a rather large needle. Needless to say I've become pretty dependent on your amusing posts and pokes at Steven K.....yeah don't think you are out of the woods either Steve, I'll get to you in a second.

So yes, I get through the deep night reading, laughing and re-reading your posts in my head. That is until a few days ago when you started this "I'm sorry" crap. What a disappointment. Much like yor heroin addiction, I am now hooked on your delusional, sacrastic writing....so get to it!

And then there is my high school sweetie, Steven K.. I gave you some of the best yrs. of my life and I still won't let my husband touch my car keys thanks to u. So if you please come back to the forum and take stabs at the rabid dog...I'd appreciate it! Please and thank you.

On a lighter, happier note....glad we are all back in touch. Can't wait to see all of you! It's gonna be fun catching up! And by the way, I herd onto SWA all the time to fly down and see my SA sisters...can't wait to see ya at the head of the plane Eric!

Angela McNeill (Williams)

I'm with Tessa, this forum has provided some great enjoyment during these rough "back to school" weeks for me! Keep the words coming! I can't wait to see everyone and I sure hope Jerry has the 80's music ready for Sat night!

09/04/08 08:55 PM #52

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

Maybe for our 25 year reunion Eric can fly us all on Southwest to Sweden so we can camp and party on Asa's lawn. Let's start the fundraiser............Nerds anyone?????

09/04/08 11:29 PM #53

Shannon Riney (Loyd)

Tessa - I was just thinking the same thing. I was thoroughly enjoying the verbal sparring; then, like typical men (my husband excluded-hence, why he's my husband), you ended before we were satisfied...

Eric - I fly sw all the time--I've never had a pilot over 5'9''. Where have you been???

Gina - Screw the nerds; let's sell viagra!!! We've got some suppliers in the class! Sweden, here we come!! Hope you've got a big lawn, Asa!!

09/05/08 12:14 AM #54

Steven Kohring

Ok, I'm back in the game.

Joe - I appreciate the apology, both verbal and via message forum. Maybe we can get through the reunion without further issues. As requested, I visited your website today. It's really great and I want everyone to go online and check it out. He has some great pictures of the past and excellent stories. Just go to:

WWW:\\I'MABIGDUMBASSANDMYNAMEISJOEBARTEK.COM\

Or simply google:
[search bar]: People named Joe Bartek that are dumbasses

Tessa - At first I thought you were going to give me a compliment, then you had to bring up the car-key story. Let's keep that between us. Are we thinking of the same story? And, thank you for the encouragement to take one more stab at Joe.
__________________________________________________________

Shannon - Wow...I like it when attorneys (females) talk dirty.
__________________________________________________________

Max - I agree, the nerds were oooweey & yucky gross. Wait, I just thought of something...wasn't there someone in a grade below us we called OOOWEEY.

I don't know why you all keep going on about those Nerds. ALL american candy was disgusting, including the Hershey bars. That didn't keep me from eating it though. The truth about the Nerds being gone, is that I ate them. I will get my sugar addiction treated, as soon as I get tired of eating sweets.

Shannon, I am convinced that my lawn is large enough. My only concern is that your luggage will be overweight with all that camping equipment. But you can ask Max how to fly to Sweden and back, bringing your every possession.

09/05/08 01:05 AM #56

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

Well the way I see it, I'm glad we have a psychiatrist and gi doctor in the class. They can make a determination who's crazy and who's just full of shhhhhh........

Viagra??? The crazy little hard on pill??? I'm getting a visual here and I'm thinking that we won't need the tent poles for the tents. Oh, we are suppose to sell them for profit for the trip right???

09/05/08 12:35 PM #57

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

So I was looking through the annual again last night and come to realize that we do have some talented indivuals in our class. I think maybe with a bit of encouragement we could get some of them to perform for old times sake.

So Tess, Ange & Ron, how about bringing your batons and twirl a routine? Max you still have your accordian? I'm sure Steven and Joe could do a great comedy act, something like a ventriloquist act one of them the dummy (just a suggestion). Jessie could break dance for us. Gosh what other classmates with talents that could help with entertainment?

09/05/08 01:12 PM #58

Tessa Richter (Guevara)

Thanks, Steve....you really pulled through! In fact, I think we are all holding are own without Joe. His website is pretty cool. But I don't appreciate the caption under my picture, but oh well. As for the key story, if u are thinking the Sr. party key story then we are on the same wave link. As for a compliment....sure do miss that bronco....I loved that bronco!

Shannon- brillant idea! And Steven left out gorgeous when speaking of you as an attorney...and no she's not just another pretty face....we all knew that.....the Viagra, that could be huge. Wink wink

Asa...hilarious, don't be surprised if we all show up in 5 years, you thought we were annoying then, try happy birthday to u everyday we are there.

Gina- If there is a choice between watching a video of my twirling twenty years ago or picking up a baton now and giving it a whirl...then I'd be glad to dust the stick off and have a go. I've seen the film...scary!

Ange, thanks for sticking with me....I keep expected the funniest one of all of us to join in. Is Ron just saving it for next weekend or what. "Hey Big Ron, let us hear from ya!"

09/05/08 04:04 PM #59

Eric Cobb

Shannon and Tessa- Thanks for the business. I'll look for you guys in the back. Shannon, Sorry you haven't had a pilot over 5'9", thats too bad.

Travis, and/or Lorri- Now that you have an new computer, its time to join in. Lorri, ask Travis about the prostitutes.

Joe- Hows the weather in Georgia? You still gonna be able to make it? Maybe Continental will give you a good deal if you tell them how much money you've lost on them this year. I'm sure it won't be cheap, but at least you will get a free sandwich.

Jerry- Really looking foreward to seeing your place. Was going to stop by the other day but it looked like you were closed.

09/05/08 05:00 PM #60

Terry Garza (Mejia)

GUYS - if only you could hear me laugh! My secretary thinks my laugh is cool...that's why i hired her!

Steven, it's Fajita Momma...glad you still have your sense of humor

Joe, I know your EX wife in your profile picture! You have some explaining to do!

Gina, Angela, and Eric, thanks for putting this together!

09/05/08 07:09 PM #61

Tessa Richter (Guevara)

I think I've been sniffing to much sevoflurane today....I am, under no circumstance twirling!! And no videos...it's just to painful!!

09/05/08 10:41 PM #62

Stacy Trejo (Dunivent)

Hey everyone! Wow, I can't believe it's been 20 years. Time fly's when your having fun! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again. I'll be the girl crying with the big happy tears after I see everyone again.

I love reading the post's! I can feel the love jump off the page. :)

Hey, Shannon - Loved the parties at the farm! I can remember the Trashcan punch! YUM Maybe, for old times we can make up a batch!

09/05/08 11:20 PM #63

Angela McNeill (Williams)

Yummmmm, I agree Stacey, punch was always good at the parties! Yet again, back then I wasn't too picky about my liquid refreshments.
Asa- I'm lovin the idea about going to Sweden for the 25th reunion! As for Hershey's and American candy being lousy, well, I'm sorry I can't agree with you there....but then again, you always liked those healthy snacks! Oh wait, that was Britta I was thinking of with those apples everyday!
Tessa...aw, come on, you know you still could perform "Pac Man Fever" (aka Livin' On a Prayer) in your sleep with a perfect free hand and all! I'm sure when you hear the song in the slide show you'll change your mind.
Eric- you'll have to send thanks to Rhonda and I too, between the 4 of us, we give SWA plenty of business between Love Field and SA and have been perfectly satisfied every time!
Terry- I always loved your laugh! I can't wait to hear it again!!
Steven- I have to say I remember that bronco too..or maybe it was the truck....anyway, whatever it was you drove, it was always more roomy than the Czechboy's black firebird on those double dates!
Only 1 more week to go! :)

09/06/08 12:35 AM #64

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

OK here's a memory for my counterparts involved....you know who you are. Which one of you remember the night we drove to Holland to snag a certain street sign and driving through the streets with a police siren blaring! It was so cold with those windows down. So do my counterparts remember that fun night.

The party barn oh yeah, but I remember the Mad Dog 20/20, and riding the horses in the pastures........oh wait that was those round hay bales, my bad.

Here's another funny memory too, Randy punching Thomas and breaking his thumb......LOL.

Anyone want to throw out any other funnies to share?

09/06/08 09:41 PM #65

Steven Kohring

I'm a little concerned that Rhonda's (hi Rhonda) not trash-talking a little bit. Come on Rhonda, you can do it.

As for Tessa & Shannon, they seem to just type away after they start drinking. But, that's ok. I seem to be able to communicate better after a few cold ones as well.

Angela - You're so sweet that I can't even imagine you typing anything that would offend anyone. And you're right, M.H. always drove small cars..but he did manage to sneak off with the big conversion van a few times.

Joe - Hi. I hope you're doing well.

Gina - As for a High School memory, I do remember a party you had. Joe, Weeblo, and myself were pretty much drunk past out in your house. Joe should remember that as well.

Hi everyone! If you've all noticed I've posted the new plans regarding the reunion. I hope this doesn't change anyones plans for attending. Jerry is great with the new arrangements and we will still have a hell of a time.

Hope everyone has a great week and have a safe trip back to the area. Can't wait until the end of week. Now let's get back to the BSing on here.

I will be sending out emails shortly to let everyone know their cost.

One other shout out of THANKS to the 17 Survey participants (you know who you are). This will help to make your bio for the scrapbook great. It was fun and you will enjoy the results. As for the others, well you had your opportunity and were warned. Thanks to myspace, facebook and the world wide web and oh yes google it made it all possible to pull up some things on the rest of the classmates that "didn't have time".

Just wanted to make sure that everyone realized that the Lonestar Bar & Grill and the Lonestar Banquet Hall are two seperate places and locations. Any questions about the locations or directions let me know.

Is everyone getting quiet a week before??? I was thinking things were going to get a bit stirred up before hand. I'm getting bored...........somebody needs to say something funny.

Do the girls in the class like margaritas frozen or on the rocks?? Trying to decide which way to go on these.

Yes Ron I know........MMMMMMM....margaritas...... but at least say which one, frozen or on the rocks.

09/08/08 03:25 PM #70

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

I guess I'm just talking to myself as usual.......So Gil stopped by the house last night to drop off some last minute pics of his family and Michael's for me to include in the scrapbook. He got a peek of what I was doing and was like "WOW, I didn't know you were doing all this" So here it is everyone ONE LAST AND FINAL CHANCE. You have until 6:00 tonight to get your bio done and pics of your family to me to have a good page in the scrapbook. Then if you still don't choose to after this final warning I will say "I TOLD YOU SO!"

You guys and gals just 4 more days!!! WOO HOO!!!
