Joe--you might be the funniest person I've ever known. My sides hurt--just like old times!!

Jerry--can't wait to see your place! thanks for hosting

Gina and Ange--thanks for all the work!

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

Hell no there are no rules and regs on this site you can say whatever the hell you damn well please besides we are afterall a bunch of "misfits" with the exception of Ange. Now that I come to think of it, while on the annual staff back in my days of school I was able to get some "unseen photos" and have kept them under lock and key all these years thinking that maybe someday these photos will be useful. Now since opportunity is presenting itself and the cat is out of the bag I could put these photos to use. I think I'll create a website something like.........www.joedirt.com....... I will keep everyone posted on the progress of this. I need to finish up on planning the reunion though. I'm looking forward to this more and more. I'm so glad so many of our classmates will be able to attend.

I was wondering why Travis hasn't responded and is it possible that maybe instead of a desk in his office he has a mattress since that is what his plant produces and he gets to just sleep on the job????

So Eric if you get Joe a pass to fly here then where will he stay? I just want to warn them to put away any tomato sauce before he comes.

Shannon for old times sake I would love to see the Dee Snyder look again. (just kidding) Just to let you know since you have boys and I have a girl there are 80's things coming back into style. The large belts, leg warmers, jelly shoes, skinny jeans, tube socks and there are more. But let's hope the BIG HAIR doesn't come back.

By the way my aunt's niece's uncle's cousin's nephew's dad at one time roomed with Joe in GA at the state hospital and he has some pics of Joe to share with us so I will post those in the memory book since it's too late for the slideshow. It's really terrible that no one reached out to Joe to help him over these years but maybe just maybe after the reunion things will turn around for him and we can help him to get back on the right track. One other thing when Joe is here if he ever mentions Gina please be sure to make sure he makes no contact with her as they were overcoming their heroine addiction together at one time and I just don't want him to cross her path, oops Tina not Gina.

Joe not to bring anything else to light but we are really just looking out after you and trying to make up for where we all let you down over the years.

Steven K I have connections and for some extra entertainment for the reunion I can set it up for you and Joe to go a few rounds in the octogon ring for a little one on one UFC bout. Tap out or knock out? Who will it be?? Let me know if I need to make this happen.

Angela McNeill (Williams)

Awww, my classmates are just too nice to me. Guess I really was an angel in high school to get all the kind words! Hmmmm, I don't hear Shannon, Tessa, or Rhonda commenting on my lack of misfit nature here.......Maybe that's because they've spent too much time with me after high school, especially in college.
Come to think of it, maybe I'll break out the ol plastic, round '80s style glasses that covered half of my face in jr high and wear those to the reunion. I'll only do that if Shannon does wear her Dee Snider hair, if Rhonda wears her skinny pink ties and Tessa wears her prairie shirts and Jordache jeans.
Gina- as co-planner with you, I say get the ring ready for Joe and Steven! We can take bets at the door. You can ask Rhonda to ref too since she is an expert on the UFC fighting thing.

Angela McNeill (Williams)

One more thing---Gina, after my mom passed away we found a HUGE box of confidential photos in her yearbook room that the faculty had been forcing her to keep under lock and key (that was before the days of paper shredders)! And yes, I recall seeing plenty of Joe and his older ladies. (I am sure the assistant band director from our freshman year was in one with him too)I will send those to you asap for the memory book!!
You know, I always wondered how so many of the guys in our class made better grades than the girls! I just thought they were smart or maybe got the answers from Max. Now I know it was their extracurricular duties that got them those bonus points! I was so naive!

08/29/08 10:32 AM #26

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

Ange, That's wonderful about the pics, yes please scan and send. Also I would like to add that I would love to see all the guys show up in those LOUD colored, crazy printed, to the knee and baggy wearing bermuda shorts they so wore back in the day. Steven K has a wonderful yellow pair! Please don't forget to top it off with the t-shirts that have completely NO armpits as they cut them completely out.

Hmmmm how many of us could actually fit into those pants and shorts now..... maybe we just better wear our sweat pants and push them up to our knees.

08/29/08 10:33 AM #27

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Ron, how about it will you be our BIG RON (BIG JOHN) in the ring and ref for these two crazy cats?

08/29/08 10:43 AM #28

Eric Cobb

If Joe needs somewhere to crash while he's here he can stay in my garage. He can even have all the tomato sauce he wants. I just don't want to know what he does with it. Angela, break out that box of pics and lets see some of them. By the way, Gina and Angela, great work on all of this. Thanks for all your time spent.

08/29/08 12:43 PM #29

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

I would like to make a motion to IMPEACH Travis Schiller as our president (sorry Travis), he's obviously sleeping on the job. It's time for a new one.... A Woman! I nominate myself for President of our class and Ange for Vice President and Eric Cobb for Sec/Treasure......any others with me????

Terry Garza (Mejia)

Hello Classmates!
Great to see there is a Forum going on POOR JOE!

PS...Joe do you Need a date for the Reunion?

08/29/08 01:35 PM #31

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

Eric, the pass for Joe would that be round trip or one way? I just wanted to know if I need to set up a collection jar at the reunion to make sure he gets back to GA. Unless Max would like to take over his care and place him somewhere in Texas closer to us all and we could visit daily. We could all have a day and Joe would never feel unloved. I'll take every second Tuesday of each month for evening visitations.

08/29/08 10:26 PM #32

Steven Kohring

Wow...lots of folks shouting out. It's going to be great to see everyone and great job on putting this all together.

Now, on a more serious note. Gina has seemed to take advantage of the photos I e-mailed her last night. Yes, I know me, Joe, Randy, John Ray, & Mike looked great in our outfits from spring break 88. And yes, I do still have the yellow "Jams" I wore that year.

Now to Travis. I feel your pain regarding the approaching impeachment Gina has put on the table. I recall a time when I was PRESIDENT of our class for several years. I was actually pleased that I was kicked out to the street our senior year. There's alot of pressure being the class PRESIDENT, particularly in the planning of reunions after graduating.

See everyone soon. I look forwad to throwing back some cold ones with yall at Jerry's Place.

08/30/08 09:20 AM #33

Tessa Richter (Guevara)

Joe-Any thoughts on a date for the reunion....? If it will make you feel more comfortable, I have several friends that are excellent in drug administration. Lemme know if you are interested. They might even wear that little nurses outfit you liked so much back in high school.

08/30/08 03:35 PM #34

Rhonda McKenzie (Powell)

Gina-I accept the invitation to ref in the Octagon. Let's keep it clean, touch gloves and come out fighting!

It certainly appears that the lack of compassion that I always remembered this class for is still in tact. Talk about kicking a dog when he is down. You guys seem like a big gang of, future Dallas Cowboy, Michael Vicks. Just because I didn't win this dogfight called life is no reason to pour gas on me and light me on fire. Below I will respond to some of the comments directed at me that weren't completely negative.

Angela - I wasn't in band so I don't exactly know who the assistant band director was. I'm not denying your accusation I'm just saying I don't remember her. Truth be told if she was able to bend over and pick up a pencil that I "accidentally" dropped it is more than likely that I did knock the bottom out of her.

Terry - after all the negative comments posted on this forum along with the fact that I am not a very good person I fear that you would have a very difficult time finding someone for me. Besides I am currently seeing someone. Like all my previous relationships I fear that it will end badly but I am trying to be positive and this will be the one that lasts.

Steven K - For someone who has not seen me in over 10 years you sure do seem presumptious to think that I have packed on the pounds. FYI for the past 10 years I have stuck to a semi-strict vegetarian diet with an occasional grilled chicken dish here or there. Due to this fact I weigh in at a svelt 178 lbs. Less than I weighed upon graduation thanks to the beer you constantly pushed on me during our senior year. You will be able see what kind of condition I'm in up close when I pound your ass into the pavement if you keep up your insulting comments towards me or others. (Gina, no octagon ring necessary. The parking lot will suffice)

As far as why you were not President our senior year there are two reasons. 1)Under your leadership Jr. year we decided to sell "Nerds" as a fundraising activity. 2)You were and I assume still are a sack of shit. I now know that I can say that so I plan on using it quite liberally moving forward.

The Nerds thing was a fiasco from the beginning. But somehow we were able to raise the money to pay for our senior trip to beautiful Landa Park. How did we overcome this horrendous decision to sale Nerds you may ask? In a name, Travis Schiller. He hauled case after case of Nerds to Rosebud to have his contacts (ring of amateur prostitutes) over there sell every last case of those sour ass bits of candy. Hence the reason he was elected President the following year.

Eric - you can stick your pass where the sun don't shine. I am not a cow that needs to be herded onto a plane. Therefore, I don't fly Southwest. I prefer the luxury treatment of Continental where I am still served a meal with the cutest darn little bity apples you have ever seen. And unlike other carriers the meal is free. More importantly I try to use Express Jet as the feeder service to the hub in Cleveland or Newark because they are just the best in the business. I recommend that everyone in the class fly Continental as their mainline carrier and always make sure you use ExpressJet (if available) as the feeder service to the Houston hub if you are flying out of Texas. You don't need to worry as to why I care so much for these fine airlines. Just use them damnit!
On staying in the garage issue. I will pass on that too. Afterall I am not Mijo Parcus.

Tessa - I would certainly be open to you bringing a nurse or two for me as dates at the reunion. I am currently seeing someone but she and I both know that it is going to end badly. So what better way for her to find out that it is over than for her to see me with two broads wearing those 1970sish miniskirt nurse outfits. No smocks please!!! Just the miniskirts.

Shannon - I don't know where you are finding humor in any of my prior posts. Perhaps you should cutback on your alcohol intake. I have only presented facts and opinons that have been of the most serious nature.

Now can you all just leave me alone?

08/30/08 10:49 PM #36

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

Well class it looks like we have become a bit over zealous and presumptuous in our attempts to help Joe make sure he is able to attend the reunion and have a date and place to stay. Maybe we just tried to over compensate because we all feel somewhat guilty that no one did anything to prevent Joe from going down the dreadful path he went down. If we had all just kept in touch better, been better friends, didn't use peer pressure and just looked for any of the obvious signs then maybe Joe would be in a better place physically and mentally.

So Joe, my heartfelt apologies for going on as I have and if I may be of any assistance to you to help you find the path back to rightousness then please let me know and I will do whatever I can.

Oh and one other thing, I didn't have anything to do with the selling of the "nerds". My involvement was with ovaltine bars and reeses pieces. I will rescend my nomination for President I can't out do a Nerd seller I suppose and just let it be known that I will just be the glorified reunion planner if I can finish and accomplish that without any major blunders.

I never meant or expected for you to be "kicked while you were down" and only hope that the reunion will have nothing but a positive affect on you and most importantly for you and Steven to put your differences behind you and be the best of friends that you once were.

08/30/08 10:59 PM #37

Rhonda McKenzie (Powell)

Mmmmm...Ovaltine bars

08/31/08 02:43 AM #38

Gina Howeth

Ovaltine Bars...LOL. I still have nightmares about those things!

Hi everyone! It has been great reading your posts.

Joe, I feel your pain! I'm not unstable or an alcoholic, but I do feel your pain. I wish I was gonna make it to the reunion just to give you a hug! :-)

You all take LOTS of pictures at the reunion!!!

08/31/08 04:34 PM #39

Tessa Richter (Guevara)

Gosh, after all these years I TOTALLY forgot about the prostitutes.

08/31/08 11:11 PM #40

Steven Kohring

Joe - As the Chief Executive of our class, I did not solely make the decision to sell Nerds as a fundraiser our junior year. I believe it was put to a vote and you were the first idiot to say "yeah, let's do that". Your response was similar to the outburst in Coach Blockers class referenced in the forumn somewhere in the previous 45 postings.

Although difficult, I have refrained from using obscene language as you have in many (all) of your previous postings. I beleive an apology is in order, although I didn't see many (none) of my classmates come to my defense from your insulting comments and terrible language.

08/31/08 11:41 PM #41

Joseph Bartek

Steven, I agree completely regarding an aplogy being necessary. Your direct email to me pointed out various reasons that I should apologize. In a bit more of a profane manner than your public post I might add. Regardless, I apologize for any slanderous comments that I may have directed towards you. And yes I do realize that you are human and that you do have feelings and emotions. You are not a sack of human excrement as I have stated in earlier posts. Having said that I don't remember the "Nerds vote" playing out as you have portrayed but it was wrong for me to hang that disasterous decision soley on your shoulders. I hope we can both get past the animosity that has apparently built up between the two of us over the last twenty years. I too am shocked that more folks did not come to your defense. I'm sure the problem is with all of them and not you. Have a blessed and peaceful Labor Day.

09/01/08 01:36 AM #42

Angela McNeill (Williams)

Seriously, I think we were coerced to sell Nerds because Joy Cason had stock in them. Glad to see there may be a little peace for awhile. Group hug!

09/01/08 01:40 PM #43

Shannon Riney (Loyd)

Weren't the reeses pieces sold along with the nerds?? I thought those were way worse...

Let's not be too hard on the prostitutes from the nearby town...they were really nice to some of our boyfriends...

Joe--OMG! I can't stop laughing...

09/01/08 03:06 PM #44

Gina Pearson (McCallum)

You guys I've peed my pants & sitting here in my pee pants all jacked up on Mountain Dew trying to finish up on all the final details and arrangements for the reunion. (LOL, not that old yet to really have peed my pants.) But seriously, it's made the time sitting here enjoyable by far by looking back at such adorable faces, remembering so many great times and finding out what we have all become of ourselves and to even see those adorable faces in our children now. We have all been so blessed.

Now if the rest of the ones would help me out and get their Bio's done & pics sent I'd be happy.

Geez, even when I saw the word Nerds, my stomach did a flip. I got so sick of those nasty candies.
