Yes! Attending Reunion
Update us on your life since 1973

I graduated from Binghamton University (SUNY-Binghamton at that time), then went to law school at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1982. After working for a small law firm in Philadelphia, I joined the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey, working in the Camden, NJ branch office. I worked there until I retired in 2017. I was a prosecutor at the federal level and had many great cases and trials. I also taught both inside and outside the Office and mentored young lawyers. After I retired, I worked on voting rights issues full time for the Democratic National Committee in the run-up to the 2020 election. I am currently on the board of a local non-partisan organization that fights gerrymandering. I also just finished working on a mayoral campaign in Philadelphia. I've always been interested in public policy (I did graduate work at Penn in public policy analysis) and plan to continue being active in public service in one way or another. I also am very active in the Bicycle Club of Philadelphia and have cycled all over North America and Europe. I just completed two bike tours this year: one in England and the other through the Columbia Gorge, near Portland, Oregon. I hope to continue cycling for many years!

I would have loved to attend this Reunion but I have a conflict (I'm leaving on vacation on the same date). It's a shame that no matter what date an event is scheduled for, some people who want to attend cannot. Life is very (too?) busy these days. I hope everyone who attends has a wonderful time.

School Story

I have fond memories of senior year, when our basketball team went to the finals of the Nassau Country tournament. It was a great ride.

I've lived in Philadelphia for many years. One day, many years ago, I attended a continuing legal education course and Jay and I saw each other and reconnected. From then on, every year we got together for lunch and talked about old times, recent times, etc. It turned out that he worked in a law firm where I knew several of the lawyers, so I'd see him whenever I visited my friends at the firm. Jay was that rare person whom everyone liked. He got along with everyone. He was just a great guy and tried to see the good in everyone. When I learned that he died while bicycling, it hit me hard because I have been a lifelong cyclist. My only solace is that he died doing what he liked. But he was taken too soon. May he rest in peace.
