The Class of 78 is deeply saddened by your loss. We pray that God will give you strength and grant you comfort in your time of bereavement. We are praying that you find healing through the Lord's love.  God only plucks the most beautiful flowers for his heavenly garden.  Rest In Peace Bryce.

Another soldier gone to soon, wow Bryce was a good friend. Spencer I remember those times meeting you guys at the colony . Cleaning our cars. I had a red 69 camero back then. What's the word Thunderbird what's the price? I believe it was 60 twice. ?????? .Bryce was easy going and fond loving. He will be missed. Rest well my brother. Bryce Leon Hicks

Man we had some good times growing up together in the same neighborhood. During our teen age years from mid  to late 70's Bryce was 90 percent of our transportation. Back then everybody didn't have a car to drive but Bryce was allowed to use the old family car which was a 1963 4 door ford Galaxie.  Most of the time it was usually 4,5 or 6 of us together when we were hanging out,  it was mostly me David Perry, Michael Pass, Dywayne Outlaw, Obie Thomas and Corey Bailey. Things were a lot cheaper back then if you had 20 bucks you felt as if you were loaded that weekend but we would pitch in together from washing the car to filling it up with gas buying beer or just helping one another out when needed.  Because of David's interest in motorcycles and hotrods we would often some how end up at some drag strip or dirt track on the weekend. Well we also would go to concerts, local softball, basketball games, the local pool rooms and even hung out at the car wash, that was some of the things that we did and was available for use to do back then. Speaking of the car wash, last summer I dreamed that our group was at the colony washing that old 63 ford everbody had a detail to do I can clearly remember that I was blacking the tires with joy dishwashing detergent and Bryce walked up to talk and I told him that after we get this car clean we should all gather around it and take a picture he said ok and we did that in my dream. To bad we didn't have cell phones back then we could have taken a lot of keep sake pictures....... LOL.

I didn't see Bryce to much as we became older and went our seperate ways but I did see and talk to him about 3 months ago and I could 't wait to tell him about that dream I had and we both laughed about it. But as a ending I will never forget the wonderful and good trouble free times we all had back then and if it was not for Bryce and that faitful 63 Ford then we may not have had the chances to go places and experience things that were within reach of use and available to be experienced by our group.
