After high school I served an LDS mission to Germany. When I returned I attended Weber State College earning a BA degree. I taught German for a year at Wahlquist Jr. High and helped coach the track team. I went to work for Kimberly-Clark and helped open the the Ogden manufacturing plant. At the dedicatory opening I was asked to give the dedicatory prayer of the facility. After six years with Kimberly-Clark I went to work at Box Elder High School and have been teaching German there for the past 30 years, retiring in January 2020. I was the student government advisor, coach of the chess team, German Club advisor and was the boys and girls soccer coach at Box Elder for 20 years. I take groups of students on tours to Europe every other year, traveling through Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France.
Dennis Johnson and I climed up into the ceiling of the library study carrol as Danny Brown stood watch, and in the process of getting back down caved in the ceiling knocking off several ceiling tiles. We tried like crazy to reattach the tiles, borrowing super glue from the art room which failed. We ended up using a library stapler and stapling the tiles around the edges. Seven years later I was in the school and noticed that the staples were still in place holding up the tiles and the ceiling was still caved in.

Jeff, Thank you for all you have and are doing for our class. My wife, a 1974 Roy graduate is jealous that her class does not have a web page like ours. I explained how you were the one who set it up and maintains it and keeps it up to date. I know it must be time consuming but thank you for all you do.
