After wasting everyone's time at Grandview I worked for my Dad at the Office Center in Marshalltown. I loved riding my motorcycle back and forth to work. The diagonal highway between Altoona and M-Town always provided an exciting ride. When he sold out to Midwest Office I drove truck 3 days a week for them, not so exciting. But after having nightmares about cresting a hill only to see cars stopped and then waking up just before I crashed, I thought it was time to give up driving.
After that R&D Plbg, then Wycoff plbg, then L.B. Plbg bought out Wycoff and I worked there until my Multiple Sclerosis kicked in and I had to retire. My friends and family always ask me, "don't you get tired of staying home all day?" and I ask "would You?" cuz I have so manythings to do like laundry, dishes, clean the house, clean the fish tanks, and scoop the poop. Leaves almost no time for bird waching, mowing, or playing with the dogs. I know sounds boring but I love it.


So good to see all your families doing so well. I'm proud to show my friends my graduating class of Winners! And all of your children are so gifted.

This is about 2-a-day's.... All Football players know when Fair Time comes around, and it's HOT!!! twice a day, morning(perfect weather) and afternoon PRACTICE!!!
Soon we got to wear pads, then it was fun. But I need to apologize to Craig Parsons, because we would play a game called Pile On. My friend Craig would become the pile on guy. That meant everyone would take turns knocking him down and we would all pile up on top of him. Good thing he's a strong guy, and forgiving.

Dont know if I should mention the fun I had being a Hall Monitor with Dave Yount. Talk about the fox in charge of the hen house. I apologize to you all who had lockers in the vicinity of our chairs. Ya gotta understand it was just before lunch, and we were hungry; so the Pies, cupcakes, Twinkies and assortment of home made goodies were appreciated. Thanks for keeping my weight up





I must also apologize to Matt Rensh for the time we gave him the bums rush out the football locker room door, right into the middle of a Girls State Track meet. Did I mention he was in the buff? I think the Girls loved it ;)

I can also remember raiding the kitchen and taking pans of apple and cherry crisps back to the Varsity basketball locker cage to eat. Where no girl had ever come in except Cassi Life. David Yount and I dared her or asked her if she wanted to come in and see our new Locker cage. The looks on those showering underclassmen's faces was priceless. Those poor guys
