Comments:
Graduated from Idaho State College in
June, 1957. Received a commision in the Army at the rank of 2d Lieutenant. Went into active duty in the army in January of 1958, stationed at Ft. Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, Indiana, then was transferred to Ft. Carson, Colorado and there finished out the tour of active duty in July of 1958. Finished the obligation in the military assigned to a Field Artillery Battery Headquartered in Twin Falls for 71/2 years, discharged with the rank of Captain.
We then lived in Boise for a few months. Returned to Rupert in 1960 where I worked as bookeeper for the
Amagamated Sugar Company until the spring of 1968. We then returned to the farm where I worked for Carol's
Dad for 8 years. We then purchased our own farming operation in 1976.
Carol passed away in Oct. 1999.
I'm still farming at this time, not yet fully retired!
