Passed away February 24, 2003 at age of 67. He attended Idaho State University where he studied civil engineering. In 1953 he began a 27 year stint with the U.S. Forest Service, starting as a heavy equipment operator and finishing as a civil engineering tech. During his time with the Forest Service he learned how to operate every piece of heavy equipment imaginable.
