I have been active in Womens,Civil, Human and Gay and Lesbian rights since the early '70's.I have been to Washington D.C
for several demonstrations which were great fun.
I worked for Santa Clara County Transit for 22 years and retired in 1996. My spouse of 32 years moved from the bay area to the Mendocino Coast. We think it is one of the most lovely places on earth. The population is some where around 1000. A great Lesbian gay community and a very tolerant general population.
We both sing in the Mendocino Coast Women's Choir ( there are about 25 of us. We do a concert every year which is great fun. We also sang in Carnegie Hall and the Church at ground zero in 2006.This is probably one of the most wonderful experiences I have ever had!
I was cured of Ovarian in 2001.
Myra and I are plaintiffs in The California Supreme Court case for Equal rights to Marry.The decision is due in June, and IF we win Myra and i will be married and have the same rights as you MARRIED folks have.
I broke a lot of ground when I worked for the county, I was the 2nd woman bus driver hired in 1973. I was the 2nd woman supervisor hired. I was the 1st woman Maintenance Superintendent in the country,(as far as I know.)I had 80 people working for me, 90% Men.
I did very well and made a lot of friends around the country.
We love to camp, and yes we still do tent camping.
Been to London, Mexico several times to Canada and all over this state.
So...way too much information but just skip it if you are bored.
