I live in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. I currently teach 6th grade science. I sold my cheer and tumble business in 2012 so I could spend more time with my family! Success is not measured by money...success is measured by moments of joy, peace and happiness.
I originally moved to Russellville with my family when I was in the 7th grade. Some of my first friends were Amy Gilbert and Lisa Johnson. I played basketball until 8th grade. When I was caught doing more cartwheels and walkovers, I switched to gymnastics and became really good friends with Karen Tucker and LeAnne Linton. During the 8th grade, I also met Michelle Pierce('82) and we spent much time together. During high school, a few of my closest friendships included Paula Nigh, Tina Thomas, and Toni Brownlee. I also loved hanging out and talking with Becky Ward before school and at lunch. She was a really good influence on me, encouraged me, and she often invited me to church. When I went off to college, I became really good friends with redhead Kym Pierce. I was caught doing some really crazy stuff throughout those years, I don't regret doing most of it.
After all these years, I have managed to stay in touch with a few of my classmates...kym (bradshaw), denise (roys), karen (brookshear), leanne (burris), paula (ross), and tina (nuefer). Life is busy, but I have found friends tend to make time for you when you need to talk.
