Hello all, well after I graduated, I joined the Army and spent the next 10 1/2 years traveling at Uncle Sam's expense. Some of the highlights include 2 tours on the east-west German border before the fall of communism and I was on the border the day communism fell and experienced first hand what freedom actually looked like when those who never have had it before finally got it. I did a tour in the gulf, ( a little thing called the Gulf War ). Was awarded The Bronze Star for heroism. I think i just won a popularity contest myself and that was top prize. lol.
Well after that I went to Ft. Benning, Ga. That is where I met my wife, my lover, my best friend, my companion, my soulmate and it was all wrapped in one pretty lady. She had just come back from the Gulf herself. Well we both got out of the Army and moved to Alabama. We have 2 boys age 12 and 9. If anybody can tell me how to keep them from fighting I'd appreciate the help.lol.
I work now for a major heavy equipment dealer in Birmingham, the short answer for what I do is I'm responsible for keeping $150 million in equipment supplied with all the filters they need to keep running. Our primary customers are the coal mines which supply the coal fired electrical plants we have here.
Hobbies hmmm..... former Cub Scout leader of 9 year old boys ( would rather pull another tour in the gulf than do that again). I'm also a reserve Police officer, part time cop. When I was in the army and visited home, I have a cousin I envied, to me he had everything, a good job, a good family, a stable life, and that was what i wanted, now i have it. Well that's all for now.
