Class of '88, your input is important!

The reunion is for everybody. We want to hear from everybody!

 

Whether you've been to a reunion or not, your input is valuable because the survey results will set us in the right direction & keep us on track for a great 2014 reunion!

With each survey, the intentions are:

  • to be as democratic as possible,
  • to give everyone a voice who wants to be heard, and
  • to make the reunion what everybody wants  (within reason, of course!)

To do this right, we need to know what's on your mind, whatever that is. And while this is not intended to be an open forum to kvetch & complain, we are looking for the good & the bad- without it getting ugly! Please be open & candid in your answers. Responses will only be published anonymously.

1)   Have you been to any of our reunions before?

2)   If you've never been before, why?

  Reunion? What reunion? I wasn't invited.
  Cost too much.
  Even though I live here, it was too far to drive.
  Too far to travel.
  I didn't know who else was coming.
  High school was awful enough. Why re-live it?
  I didn't want to come alone & I didn't want find a date.
  I really wanted to come, but I had scheduling conflicts.
  I really wanted to come, but I can't be in the same room with my old flame & expect to stay married...
  I really wanted to come, but I can't be in the same room with my old rival & expect to stay out of jail...
  I really wanted to come, but my spouse? Not so much...
  I really wanted to come, but those skeletons are in the closet for a reason...
  I like you people & all, but not all once, drunk & in a confined space... I'd rather catch up in line at WalMart.
  I'm such a different person than I was in high school. I wasn't sure I'd fit in or have fun.
  Look, I didn't like most of you in high school. Pretty sure I wouldn't like you as adults either.
  I was too fat/bald/poor to play you show me yours & I'll show you mine. I have some pride left...
  I think reunions are lame.
  No real reason. I just didn't go.
  Reunions are supposed to be about catching up & re-living the good 'ol days, not a popularity contest.

9)   With respect to alcohol, please choose one of the following:

  I'm not a prude or anything, but I'm seriously not coming if alcohol is served. I strongly prefer not to be around it &/or drinking people.
  If people want to drink, I'm not going to stand in their way, but my personal preference is no alcohol.
  I don't care either way. Go with the majority.
  Alcohol is not a requirement for me, but I'd prefer to have the option.
  I'm not an alkie or anything, but I'm seriously not coming if there's no alcohol. Social lubricants go with social events. That's how they work.
 
10)   We realize the date hasn't been set yet. Assume it has & that you are available. Pick from the following:

  Wild horses couldn't keep me away.

  Color me undecided. It could go either way at this point.. .
  It really depends...
 
11)   Even for easy decisions, multiple factors contribute to the final decision. Off the top of your head, what factors will influence your decision to come to the next reunion?


Don't think about it too much. Simply put what to your mind. To give it weight, either put percentages beside your factors or list it in order of most to least important.
For instance
1. My friends are going this time- 40%
2. Cost- 40%
3. My HS sweetheart is finally divorced from that ol cow & I have time to lose 20 lbs- 4,000%
4. I have that awesome outfit I only once so I don't have to buy something new or worry about what I'm going to look like.-80%
(As long as it makes sense to you, it doesn't have to make sense to us!)
 
12)   There are a lot of ways to volunteer & participate in the planning. In what areas are you interested or willing to pitch in, if any?

  Participate on the website- give feedback, etc.
