A few weeks ago was our 10 years graduation anniversary.
So have any type of plans for a reunion been made yet?

Let just pick a park...Each bring something to Grill and just kick back with sports and stuff. I think its our first reunion. Plus if people come from out of town they may have family in town. It could just be a one day thing with music and stuff.

So, Let's pick a date and a park and call it a day!! Thats just what I think.

PS William Land has activities like golfing, basketball, baseball diamonds, swimming stuff for the kids.

I'm for the park idea. But it has to be soon. Before the weather changes.

Incase people have forgotten, we live in Sacramento where it gets to be 110 degrees. If we do it soon it cannot be at a park. It's way too hot. And in August? The worst summer weather ever. Had we had it in June the park would've been fine, but not this time of year. Any more suggestions?

Thank you ALL for all of your hard work in trying to bring this together:) Even if it was just the five of us, we'd have a great time! LOL I really like the ideas that minimize our upfront cost (hard enough trying to get a response from the masses, with everyone's busy schedules)....based on the response I've gotten and on the survey...
LET'S GO AHEAD NOW AND SAY THIS WILL BE IN NOVEMBER; This way, we can start marking our calendars. I'll get some date surveys going. We can now start getting more specific about venues/events.

How about Clunie Clubhouse at McKinley Park. It's a smallish venue but I've been to a party there that had room for caterers, plenty of tables & chairs, and a DJ. And, if it's nice out, there's a patio outside.

Also, unless we get some kind of indication about willingness to fund this thing, we may have to look at something more "downscale" such as meeting up at a restaurant or the picnic thing. (By "downscale," I simply mean smaller in scale as far as traditional planning)

clunie is affordable....I think we should have it right before or after thanksgiving so folks can get out here...Plus we can bring our children if its laid back

I'll see if Clunie is available.

I like the Saturday after Thanksgiving because for people like me (way in GA) tickets to Sac are VERY expensive (like $300) so to fly out twice in one month is rather difficult.

Assuming its available....We will need to see how many hours. I am sure there is a minimum and if we want a DJ. Will we bring the food or have it done. All of this will affect ticket costs. We should probably get a head count even if its small and have surveys for some of these things before we lock it all down.

AND if all else fails we can try doing a night light Hawaiian theme (in someones backyard). I just bought a home with a huge backyard. I'm sure there has to be others. Just a thought (I haven't cleared it with my husband yet). I'm thinking the restaurant would be too impersonal.
