In Memory

Jeanine Anderson (Suttie)

Jeanine Anderson Suttie of West Sacramento passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the age of 50 surrounded by her family and close friends. She graced the world with her beautiful presence on September 21, 1963 as the youngest of six girls. While she was the baby of the family, she made her presence known through her tenacious spirit, fiery zest for life, and unyielding support of those she loved. She was a loyal little sister to Patricia Bergdahl of Fairbanks, AK and Brenda Greenhalgh of West Sacramento, CA. She leaves behind nieces and nephews Alison Lutz (Steven), Jezikka Sullivan (Joshua), Daniel Anderson, Leticia Palamidessi (Christopher), April Smith (Shawn), Edward Avalos (Stefane), Kenny Bergdahl and Timothy Avalos whom she described as being, "as good of people on the inside as they are gorgeous on the outside." Jeanine also leaves behind several great nieces and nephews: Ethan, Christian, Gabriella, Robert, Shawnie, Summer, Alan, and Oliver. All of whom will miss their "Neena" and the special relationships she built with each and every one of them. She was looking forward to sharing her future with Art Olaiz. Jeanine worked for the Employment Development Department since 1982, most recently in Marketing and Constituent Services. There she made an indelible impression in the lives of her coworkers - most of which she considered extended family. She was the center of an intricate network of friends that will be forever bonded through her influence. Jeanine was blessed with a son, Jeffery, who passed away unexpectedly in 2008 at the age of 18. With the death of Jeff, Jeanine brought new meaning to the word resilient and taught everyone around her to appreciate every precious moment in life. We find peace in our hearts knowing that Jeff stood front and center to greet his mother, along with her parents, Ronald and Shirley Anderson, and sisters Sandra, Christine, and Nancy. She is also preceded in death by nephews Dennis Youngblood and Gabriel Anderson, along with brother-in-law Bob Greenhalgh. While those of us left behind selfishly wish she were here with us, we rejoice in knowing that Jeanine will always occupy a special place in our hearts. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Jeanine's life on Saturday, January 25, 2014 promptly at 1:30 p.m. at the Center for Spiritual Awareness located at 1275 Starboard Drive, West Sacramento, CA. Inurnment immediately following at St. Mary's Cemetery 6700 21st Ave, Sacramento. Remembrances in her name can be made to the Ehlers Danlos National Foundation.

Am very startled to learn of Jeanine's passing from this life.  At JFK, she sat in the row next to me in Mr. DeLoach's History class.  I was intrigued by the fact that her birthday was the same as mine, Sept. 21.  I did not know her personally, but through observation, she had a somewhat fiery disposition.  Very sorry to learn of her loss and pray for the family survivors.   RIP
