After enrolling in Mr. Smith's Cartoon Art classes,  everyone seemed to know who Jill was.  Later at Sac City College, I had her for one semester in a Philosophy class.  She was so funny to the point where the teacher asked her, " Jill I need you to be quiet; did you just come from High School?"

Lesson here:  life can be so short.   Forever may our God keep you in His Temple.

Wow! Jill was always so happy and amazing to talk with! Very mature and incredible person! I always remember how she would cover her mouth and her beautiful smile before she would laugh!

I can't believe this one either, so sad, Jill was such a sweet person.  Gone too early.....

Jill was truly a special person. She was so talented and creative. I remember her horse drawings as well. I loved her innocence and what a smile! She was a beautiful young lady and I will always remember her.

Thanks Teri for asking me to write something about my younger sister Jill. Thanks everyone for your wonderful memories of Jill.

I know Jill would be so proud of all of her JFK classmates' accomplishments and successes, especially Teri, Bryn and all the artists in the class of '81!

I hope all of you had a nice Mother's Day and best wishes on your 30th class reunion.

Best Regards,
Jan Nishikawa

I remember Jill fondly.  Ah yes, those exquisite horse drawings.  I too was a lucky recipient of one of those drawings.  Jill sat in front of me in Mr. Ryan's U.S. Government class our senior year. I remember our final had an essay question that required us to write the preamble to the Constitution and the ONLY way that I could remember it was by singing the "School House Rock" version.  So there I am trying to quietly sing, "We the people...." and before long Jill was singing it under her breath then my friend Brian who sat across from us started singing it.  Needless to say Mr. Ryan noticed, cleared his throat rather loudly and glared at me from his desk.  We thought it was hilarious...and I did get the question right.  That's the kind of sense of humor Jill had, quick and infectious.  God bless you Jill!

O.K. I'll admit it; I too had a crush on Jill.  It was her sweetness.  Sometimes in conversation she would hear something absurd from one of us, think about it for a second, then bust out laughing so hard you just had to laugh with her.  She was a beautiful person. We love you Jill.

My name is Tarilinn and Jill is my aunt. From what my mom says she is very artistic and a wonderful person. She is my one and only role model. I want to be a great and wonderful person like her. If I were by a well, I would wish my auntie was alive and that I could spend a day with her. I would talk to her all day about my family, friends, and myself. Even though I never got to meet her, I think she would have been a great aunt.

Love you in all my heart, your niece, Tarilinn
