I went to Sac City College and Cal State U. Sacramento. I received a teaching credential but teachers were a dime a dozen in the 70's. I landed a job with the Secretary of State's office during the 70's and offered a permanent job after graduating. Worked my way up to an analyst position and then left the state to work for Yolo County as the Deputy County Clerk Elections. I then went on to be the Assistant Registrar of Voters in Contra Costa County. I enjoyed very much administering elections. In 1997, I returned to the State of California and worked as a project manager at the Department of Insurance and managed technology projects within the Department. My last year and a half, I was the Bureau Chief for the Project Coordination and Administrative Services Unit of the Dept. of Insurance. I retired June 2008.

It will be great to see all the CK students again. I went to the 30 year reunion of JFK. Hope that the next reunion will include those from JFK, CK and Burbank. There were some that can't make it during the school year for those out of towners so hope the next will be geared during a nonschool month.

I missed not being able to graduate with my friends who I grew up with at Brannan and CK. It was sad that we had to split up and go to JFK.

Do students remember Miss Skeptos, French teacher. She always had us shaking in our boots trying to respond to her in French for a grade.
