Married to Bob for 32 yrs ~~ heading for 50 or more! Previously married for 13 years and lived in So. CA, Ohio & NJ before returning to the Sacramento area. My "work" history ranges from Mom/Grandma to "putting hubby through" 7 years of college and seminary, Pastor's Wife, Clerk of the Board for City of Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ, and CA State Air Resources Bd., Co-Manager (with Bob) of a friend's Dude Ranch (and me 100% a city girl!), to currently Travel Consultant in my retirement years.
Bob and I have traveled through many states, cruised to a number of countries, and have visited others such as New Zealand, China, Cyprus, England. We've RV'd with many friends from church, and for 12 years 14 of us have met monthly for dinner and to play a family card game called "Hand and Foot". At Grace Community Church we are active workers and enjoy Club 55 (seniors), and women's and men's social and study groups. For 15 years Bob's older sister has lived on our 2-acre property in a little "mother-in-law" type house, and the pattern of our lives changed again earlier this year when my 92-yrs-young mother came to live with us. Both my younger sisters (at ages 40 and 50~~also NDR graduates), as well as my father and my son have passed from life to eternal life.
My greatest joy is spending time with grands Kassi (3) and Khloe (1-1/2). I and 3 "girlfriends" enjoy being season ticket holders for the Sacramento Opera (wanted to experience something new!). If Bob and I are not traveling and I find some rare discretionary time I enjoy sewing, photography, and gardening.
Hmmm....doesn't sound like much for 50 years but it's been a life richly filled with family and friends. A life of faith and of adventure. A life I hope to live to the utmost for many more years!
