After Valley High, Raquela gained a full scholarship, studing Opera and Drama/Music in Los Angeles, which eventually lead her on to Broadway as an award winning singer/actress performing leading roles. Some of her credits include the Acid Queen in "Tommy", Julie in "Show Boat" as well as originating several roles in the Off-Broadway musical, "Bat Boy".
RAQUELA is currently an International Billboard Dance Music recording artist known for her LIVE and powerful "Real Singer Experience" performances. Her powerhouse House/Dance vocals have gotten her to open for Diva's like, Deborah Cox, Lady Gaga, Lisa Lisa, Crystal Waters, Kristine W, and many more. Raquela's cover release of Taylor Daynes, TELL IT TO MY HEART ruled the "Top 40" charts on DJ Times for 28 weeks straight! RAQUELA has worked with extreme DJ/Producer crossover legends like, Chris 'The Greek', Rod Carrillo, Tony Moran and Leo Frappier, but her finest collaboration was with House Godfather, MICKEY Mixin' OLIVER. Together, NOTHIN' MORE TO GIVE topped Billboard’s "Hot Dance Club" charts for several weeks! Her tracks frequently get spun in popular New York dance clubs like Cielo, Sullivan Room and National underground, as well as hyped clandestine parties like, Verboten and Trilogy. Aside from deeply rooting herself in the New York scene, since her career began in 1999, she has toured all over the United States to perform for dance music lovers everywhere. Her music is in regular rotation in global venues like, Nikki Beach, Pacha, Naked Club, Living, Nocturnal and Taiga Sky. Despite the hectic travel schedule, this native Californian and life long musician is adamant about making time in the studio for her own productions.
