Steven Bilitz

We have 3 grown kids, living in Hugo and Richfield, MN and in San Diego, CA. We have 8 grandchildren, 4 boys and 3 girls and our latest a boy named Bruin (our little bear). Now retired and living north of Hayward, WI w/our our high energy Boxer/Terrier mix dog on Nelson L...God's Country. We really love the North Woods of NW WI.

Taught in our WELS schools for a bunch of years, then worked for In-Fisherman Comm Network, then MN DNR-Fisheries, then the Univ of MN, then Christ Luth church as their Staff Minister for 20 plus years. Enjoyed them all. It's amazing how the Good Lord puts you in a position to do His work.

Retired and fishing like crazy. Serve on our lake's assoc. board, and enjoy our church services and church board in Hayward. Paula and I enjoy puttering around Nelson L on the pontoon all open-water long.

Paula and I enjoy traveling. Spent some time in Hawaii, Alaska, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Tahiti, Bora Bora (where I learned a new dance), Scotland, and Ireland.

I read quite a bit, enjoy American History, esp Civil War era, and follow our WI Badgers, Brew Crew, and GB Packers. Go Pack Go! We really enjoy seeing our grandchildren as often as possible.

Paul Fetzer and I were roomies and we put a gallon jug of apple cider on the window ledge...and forgot about it. Next Spring we opened the window, took a swig and wooooo....white lightin'!

Bill Coleman, Ray Lewis and I spent many, many hours working off chores given to us with joy by our Dean of Students. We washed so very many walls inside the main classroom halls...my knuckles are still recovering.

Didn't know if I'd be a pastor, teacher, or fisheries biologist...and I ended up doing all 3. Amazing how the Lord works in our life. Working with Al Lindner at In-Fisherman mag was a blast...learned so much about fishing and our shared faith.
