I was an exchange student to Iceland the summer after we graduated. After that I spent 5 years in the Navy. During those years I was in California, Texas, Turkey, Scotland and Maryland, and also visited Greece and Germany.
I returned home to Oregon and went to college. Originally intended to become a teacher of the deaf but changed to International Studies and got my BA cum laude in 1991 from then Western Oregon State College.
I worked for the City of Salem for nearly 16 years and at Spirit Mountain Casino for almost 11 years. I spent years on the side repairing, building and upgrading computers for people.
I've been working on a couple of novels and have had many interesting adventures over the years. Never married; somewhere along the line I must have missed her! I have no living children.
Had a medical crisis in May 2019. Was in the hospital 9 days and a nursing facility for more than 6 weeks. Being close to death has a way of changing things. I live in an adult foster home and care for the semi-feral cats that live next door.
I am sad I missed the last reunion but I could not afford it then and was still recovering my health and strength. Hope to be at the next one.

She was a nice person and I am sad that I never crossed paths with her after high school. You will be missed, Kathy!
Thank you for your 20+ years of service to the Keizer community with the Keizer Police Dept. Sixty was too young to go, Laurie, but we will never forget you.
I am sorry that I never knew you that well in school. I do know that we were both Navy veterans and so I consider you my shipmate. Fair winds and following seas...
