I'm living in Portland with my husband of 30+ years; he's a native of Lincoln, Nebraska, and we met in law school 25 years ago. We lived in St. Paul, Minnesota for seven years at the beginning, after which I for one coudn't take that climate any more, so we moved back to SE Portland. We are both lawyers with active careers, his currently more active than mine. We travel as much as we possibly can, if possible to Paris. Most years, it is possible. (Last year, we had a wonderful time over there with my sister Ellen's daughter Amy and her beautiful friend. What fun it was to fight off a bunch of French guys from these two beautiful American girls! "Back off, Monsieur!"
We are, as I bet a lot of you are, constrained a bit by having to take care of aging parents. My Dad died in December 2005; my Mom's still going strong at Madrona Heights on S. Commercial. Not long ago at the door of that residence I ran into Mary Ann Jones from our class -- I tried to write down her cell phone number but got it wrong -- Mary Ann, are you out there?
